    Default one fallopian tube/clomid question

I am just curious if there are any women out there who have used clomid and gotten pregnant with just one fallopian tube and if so how many cycles did it take? Thank you!

I have one tube open, my left. I used clomid, CD 3-7, Gonal F - CD 9 and got two great follies on my left side before I triggered. I am 6dp0 and I will test on Dec. 9th. I will keep you posted.

I need to take the low GI diet off of my signature. That lasted all of two weeks. I am so bad with my diet. I have no willpower and love to eat. I am on metformin though and wishful thinking tells me that everytime I cheat, the metformin is going to take care of it. My RE told me that I don't have to change my diet at all. Since being on metformin, I have lost about 7-8 pounds. I am about 5'9 and weigh about 170 so I don't have that much more to lose. I see Dr. Spencer at the Emory-Crawford Long, Reproductive Center. Who do you see?

I am also trying this au natural way to unblock fallopian tubes. It consists of herbal tampons, fertility yoga, fertility massages, and herbs. You can check out this program at http://blocked-fallopian-tubes.com/unblock/. I do believe it is working, because when I initially started the massages, I would feel pain and blockages on my right side, (the side where my tube is blocked), I don't feel the pain anymore, so who knows.

    Hey There.

I also have one fallopian tube and was wondering the same thing. I am on Met right now and am going to be starting clomid next cycle. I am very afraid about an etopic with the one fallopian tube i have. Is it even worth taking clomid on the cycle that you ovulate with the side with only an ovary and no tube?

My RE told me that the fallopian tubes are not stuck still, they can move and in some cases can pick up an egg from either side no matter what side ovulation occurs..I would check with your RE to see what he/she thinks about this.

That is 100% accurate. The fallopian tubes are attached to the uterus but not the ovary. There 10% chance you can get pregnant from the opposite side.

Lili123 - have you had an HSG as yet? My dr insisted I had one after my right tube ruptured due to an ectopic. If you are concerned about an ectopic, I suggest you speak with your dr about an HSG.

I had my fallopian tube removed from a huge ovarian cyst when i was just a kid. The surgeon said that the other tube was entirely normal..but i guess I should mention it. I am only seeing my gyno as of now. I have only been ttc for 2 months and just found out about pcos last month. Should i be seeing an RE?? Any suggestions would be awesome...im new to all of this.

    Thanks

Many of the cysters do see an RE to conceive. I do not - there isn't one where I live. I would speak with your GYN first and see what he/she has to say. There is lots of useful info on the board that could help with your situation.

    Hi Lily!
I go back and 4th between my OBGYN and my RE...at the moment I am only see my OB. I'm on my second cycle of Clomid. I did ovulate first cycle on day 13 or 14 but I'm on day 15 and no +opk...I agree 100 percent about the HSG. I have had it done before and yes they say your good tube can pick up an egg from your opposite ovary but who really knows? Its just keeping the faith ya know!!!
