Default Can trigger shot cause cramping?

So I promised myself I would NOT over-analyze my symptoms here in my first 2WW but of course.... I am going to!

I am 7 days past my trigger shot. I went in today for my blood draw for progesterone to see if I O'd, so I am not sure that I did and on what day. But, I am having some uterine and lower back cramping. The uterine cramps seem sort of dull all over with moments of sharpness in different areas. It sort of feels like AF cramps but is a little more "twinge-y."

I know it's WAY too early for any pg symptoms so I am just trying to understand if the HCG can cause cramps? I am kicking myself for not asking my RE more questions when he gave it to me... I was just in a state of shock b/c three days earlier I had absolutely no follies.

Anyone know if the trigger can cause cramps and when I might expect them to go away?

Happy Holidays and lots and lots of baby dust for all of you!!!

The trigger shot can cause cramping. It does with me too. I asked my RE why and he said because it puts your reproductive organs into overdrive to pop out that eggie.
