Name of prescription medication to start period?
My husband and I like to travel to the yucatan in Mexico once a year for vacation. It never fails 3-4 days into our vacation I start my period. Not the greatest for romance or snorkling.
I remember taking some prescription medication (10 years ago) to start my period so I could go on birth control pills. Do any of you know what the name of it might be? I am going to call my OB/Gyn to see if she can give me something to get it started and over before hand.
If I am stressed out it will take up to 2-3 months sometime for my period ( yes I am stressed now). The vacation relaxes me and boom here is aunt Flo and I sit on the beach and watch my hubby snorkle without me.
Thanks for the help.

Are you thinking about Provera? I have used Provera both to start a cycle and stop a non ending cycle. If you're on bcp's you can just skip the inactive pills and start a new pack immediately after your last active pill and that should do the trick too.
Have fun on your trip!!

There is also a medication called aygestin that I have taken. You take it for ten days and then start your period 1-4 days later.
