Default Enlarged ovaries in early pregnancy

Has anyone had enlarged ovaries in early pregnancy?

I was slightly overstimulated with injectables and my ovaries were 60 and 80mm during my 2ww.

Well now I had my 1st u/s and they were measuring 90mm a piece. The nurse said it was just that my ovary's are working to support this pregnancy.

So the nurse said if I get shortness of breath or am drinking and can't pee to call them. Well that sounds like I have OHSS but she said no that enlarged ovaries are normal.

I was just wondering if anyone experienced this and what happened.

Your hunch is right. You do have ohss, but it doesn't sound bad at all. Just relax - it's unlikely to get any worse now. You will probably be swollen for a few more weeks until the placenta takes over progesterone responsibilities.

I just did IVF and have "moderate" case. A couple of days before my beta, my abdomen swelled up and I looked like I was 6 months pg - I kid you not. I nearly had to have my abdomen drained due to shortness of breath, but luckily it went down slightly over the next few days. I still look about 5 months along - which is somewhat hilarious. Hopefully this pg will stick - otherwise this will all be a very bad joke.

I'm sure you'll be fine - just no running, jumping, and ask your Dr abt sex. I am not supposed to until my ovaries get smaller.

Thank you for your response! I was told no sex

And I know what you mean, I am super swollen too! I am guessing that won't go down? I can't button my jeans!

hun i had with my last pregnancy ovary's that were the size of golfballs and they call it a corpus luteum cyst, it helps sustain pregnancy's in some woman. I never did any meds so you might just have those and they should get smaller as your pregnancy goes on

Amanda - It will go down eventually. My RE said (at 4 weeks along) that it would probably last 2 more weeks. ...and here I am still looking quite preggers... After additional online research, it does seem to be quite variable in terms of time to release the extra fluid. However everyone seems to be over it before the 1st trimester finishes.

    Good luck!

It is just really a uncomfortable for me. Especially when waking up in the morning. My stomach just aches like I pulled a muscle or something. But after I go pee I feel better
