Wegmans has this $4 prescription thing and metformin is on the list of prescriptions you can get for $4. But even if you go to any pharmacy, it is generic, so it really shouldn't be that expensive.

I asked this questions too a month or so ago because I don't have insurance and was told that it is $4 at a lot of places if you get the generic Metformin and not Gluc. Good luck. I'm waiting on my lab results now to see if I'm going to be put on it.

You can call Walmart and have them transfer the RX for next month's refill.

Rite aid price matches... so if you prefer rite aid go to walmart once then transfer back to rite aid and they will price match walmart price. THEN CURSE THEM FOR OVER CHARGING YOU IN THE BEGINING... $33 is crazy...

Thanks for the advice! Where I live there's only a rite aid where you can get prescriptions (its a REALLY small town :p) so i'd have to drive an hour to get them at Walmart, but I'll try it once! It'll be worth it to not have to pay 33 dollars for them. THANKS!!

the $4 is only for a 30 day supply i think, so it makes sense that you were charged 12 for a 90 day supply.
