Question Anyone have pain after Transvaginal Ultrasound?

I just had a pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound a few days ago for an enlarged uterus. The pelvic ultrasound was not that painful just alot of discomfort, the transvaginal was extremely painful while it was being performed, I had several a few years ago and I don't remember it every being painfull, discomfort yes, painful no. My husband was very understanding about not having intercourse for about a week, because I stated that it was painful to have the untrasound. Feeling better we decided to have intercourse. I had no discomfort but he stated that it felt like a bowl of jello, not normal. He asked me if there was any possiblity if they ripped something, or bruised it. Has anyone ever had symptoms like these? If so please let me know. Thank you

I don't know about the "jello" feel, but maybe ask your doctor about it? Just brainstorming here, but could it a muscle issue? If the u/s caused you much pain, you might have relaxed your muscles to prevent further pain. Once DH got in there, maybe the muscles were still too relaxed or unresponsive? Like I said it's just brainstorming, only your doctor can give you sound information of what it might be.

It was very painful for me back when my ovaries were enlarged, and I remember cramping heavily then. I had one last Friday and it wasn't bad at all until they looked at my left ovary, ouch!!!! I totally understand the pain, and if your whole uterus is enlarged, it is likely very tender.

I hope you get answers soon!

I had pain for the two days following mine, but that may have been due to the fact that it was followed by a pelvic exam...and that was really painful too.
