    Unhappy BFP at 14dpiui...false positive?

    Hi!
I have been TTC #2 for almost 2 years now...
At 14 dpiui, I gave in and took an HPT and to my surprise, I got a BFP!
I called my clinic and they said it very well could be a false positive and I should wait until 16 dpiui to test again. I know it's only 2 days away, but it's still torture.
Really, could it be a false positive?
I triggered with 10,000 units of hcg, but I thought that left the system after about 10-11 days.
    Any thoughts?

Also, I have been having some AF-type cramping. Is this a bad sign?

I mc 2 cycles ago so I am trying not to get overly excited if it truly is a BFP...but it's so hard not to!

    TIA for any thoughts!

And good luck to all of you TTC!

Its hard to tell without a beta, with the trigger my clinic doesn't want you to test until 18days after, I still had the hcg in my body at 11 days but it can vary person to person.

Cramping can be GOOD!!!!!!! Means the baby is digging in its heels and your uterus is going whoa, what's happening here???

It would be HIGHLY unlikely for a BFP at 14dpo to be false due to the trigger shot. Not impossible but highly unlikely. Your doctor is mean to suggest it.

Many clinics have you go in for blood work at 14dpo.

    I think it's real! I really do!!!

I agree with Runner. I've never heard of anyone waiting past 14dpiui or 14dpo. I was allowed to test 10dpiui..but didn't.. but 14 days.. I think is enough.. seriously. I think it's real..and I hope I'm right... good luck.

Thanks so much for the positive words!!! I am hoping this is the one for me and it sticks!

I guess I understand that if there's even the slightest possibility of a false positive at 14 dpiui, my clinic wont be congratulating me yet. It's just frustrating to know that there may be that possibility of a BFN in 2 days. Crossing my fingers it's still positive!

Adloves...18 days to test? The 2ww is hard enough to bare! What more a 2ww + a few days!

I know its a long time, but i guess they just want to make sure it is a true bfp, I hope it is for you!!! When are you going to have a beta ?

I need to wait 2 days to test again and then if its a BFP, I go in for my first beta the next day (so 3 days from now).

I am so bummed. I tested this morning and got a BFN. =(
I used the same Clear Blue Easy Digital HPT as I did yesterday.
I guess yesterday's test was a false positive afterall? Or could this morning's test be a false negative?
I guess I can always retest, but don't want to get even more depressed if it's still a BFN.
Would the following have made a difference in the test result:
    - After I bought the tests yesterday, I left them in the car for about 45 minutes in the heat (around 90 degrees) and the box says to keep them stored below 86 degrees.
    - I had less urine in my bladder when taking this morning's test...I apparently went super early in the morning and didn't realize it.

I know I am over analyzing and a negative is a negative...just looking out for any chance this morning's test was wrong.

I don't. I used to back when TTC #1 but with TTC #2, it's hard to since my DS wakes up several times throughout the night.
