Hsg Was Normal, Now What?!

We have been TTC for a year and now I am on my 5th clomid cycle. I put off my HSG for so long because of how bad I heard it was going to be. I just ended up having it done last week, and I was 100% sure my tubes would be blocked, because I ovulate and have a period so I don't think its an ovulation factor.....but to my surprise my tubes were open and everything was normal. I was really hoping the dye would have flushed the tubes some, even with a normal result. Is that possible? Anyone else have the same situation where you have taken clomid with no luck then get preggo after an HSG?

I got my BFP about 10 days after my HSG, *but* I also had an IUI done. It was my third cycle of 150mg Clomid and 2000mg Metformin.

Also, on the HSG, the dye did not flow through one of my tubes. The RE said the tube probably "spasmed" and that's why, and he did not think it was a blockage. He wasn't worried so I wasn't either.

I had my HSG as I started my third round of clomid. My HSG was all clear and I am ovulating. I am now on my 6th round of clomid and we have IUIs scheduled for this Friday the 29th and again on Monday the 1st. If you are ovulating and you don't get a bfp this cycle you may want to look into an IUI as well.

I agree with everyone else in that if your HSG was all clear, you should look into IUI. I got pregnant with injectables+IUI. Clomid, as it turns out, didn't do enough for my eggs. Ovulation was, of course, a problem without medications. But my ovarian reserve is also an issue, which I became aware of after having high FSH. But definitely try IUI and if your insurance covers it, look into injectables if the Clomid doesn't work after a few times with IUI.

I didn't have any luck with clomid, but did get preggos the 4th month after my HSG test

I was on 1000mg of metformin alone (which, I didn't think was working based on my temperatures).

I had a normal HSG, and got my BFP 2 months later! I did one more round of Clomid after the HSG, then got my BFP the following cycle on Femara. Have you thought about trying Femara?
