Default Ovulated, confirmed, not pregnant, no period

I put it in the wrong thread so here is the right thread and the question. Hey guys I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? I have PCOS obviously and am seeing a fertility specialist, taking clomid and have a blood test confirmed ovulation on jan 23rd. I should have had a period by now. I took TWO pregnancy tests on this past thursday and one on friday, today is saturday and both were negative. Yet there is NO period in site and no twinges like one is coming. My dr wont' be in until monday afternoon and I was wondering if any of you have experienced ovulation, confirmed by blood, not pregnant and no period? Thanks.

Do you keep a temperature chart? It could be that you ovulated later than you thought and it still registered on the P4 test. Progesterone doesn't always need to 7 days to rise within the testing limits. If you have really high progesterone, it could have registered earlier than 7DPO, which could mean you ovulated a few days later than you thought. Just give it a few more days and if you still have no AF on Monday, test again and call your fertility specialist to get a beta done.

Yes, I keep a temp chart, according to that, I NEVER ovulated. My temps still have not risen. But my dr insists that my blood came back that I did. I got the EWCM and everything but my temps never rose to confirm ovulation so I went to my dr and she took two blood tests one said it was not sure that I ovulated so she did another a week later and said yes I did but my temps say NO I DID NOT. I am waiting for a period that is not coming and I'm not pregnant. Right now my temps are preovulation lines. not POST ovulation where they rise.

My guess would be that the first blood test would be accurate, then. If your charting didn't show a temperature change, and that's almost always accurate (for me, it was always accurate), I would ask for progesterone of some form to induce AF.

My temps have never been wrong for me either, I don't know. I'm just sitting here frustrated with PCOS having had yet ANOTHER miscarriage in NOV and knowing I can't take anything until she says its ok. I have provera and Clomid in the cabnet but have to wait until Monday, or tuesday or Wed to end this cycle. Monday i'll call, get an appointment for tues she will run tests and I won't get the answer until WED. I am beginning to think it's not worth it. Anyway, thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate it. BTW: My dr says temps are not accurate, people used those before they gained more medical knowledge but as you said, they have never been wrong before.

I think I don't like your doctor. My OBGYN had my temp for the first cycle I did for infertility related treatment. He didn't want to give me Clomid until he knew for sure that I didn't ovulate. He used my temperature charts like they were the Bible. So to say they are not accurate is a bunch of crock. I used that chart even after I was pregnant. I temped until I was 6 weeks pregnant just because I was still in disbelief. My temperatures have been accurate all along. So if your charting showed no ovulation, my OBGYN would have looked at it, called it an annovulatory cycle, and dealt with it appropriately. Hmm...I don't like your doctor very much.

Sounds like what happened to me several months ago. I ended up taking pills to start my period, my dr said that it has to do with the clomid it makes you ovulate later in your cycle. Good luck!

Sounds a lot like what happened to me last cycle. It wasn't confirmed by blood, but by my chart. I spotted for like two days, but never got a bfp, and had to take provera 90 days in to start a new cycle. I don't know why it happens, but it does. Good luck.

I tried to tell her my temps said there was an empty sac, meaning no egg came out when it burst open) but she would not listen. "We don't use temps" she said. Now I have to wait until about wed when they get the bloodwork back to start taking provera to start another cycle. We are thinking about going for IVF this friday making an appointment and saying forget it.

Would you do IVF with this doctor or with someone else? She doesn't seem to care much about the patient or what is going on with your body.

We would do it with someone else. Private perhaps, the thing is I'll be 40 in sept so we don't have a lot of time left. My fertile years are running out quickly. I have asked her to refer me for IVF otherwise we are going to go private as we Live in the UK and they pay for fertility treatments over here. Thank god.

Well, I would demand that she refer you to someone or find someone private. With being at 40, you don't want to be wasting time with a doctor who seems to not care.

You are right because right now I read that my chances of it taking are about 49% after 40 it lowers to about 25% not good odds. We have an appointment with her on the 1st to be reffered to IVF. I had to replace my BBT therm. Because it was not working properly. Made me miss the ovulation alltogether as AF is rearing her ugly head today.

Toadstool, I just hope that she refers to you to someone who can help you achieve your dream of having a child. It's so discouraging at times on the journey.
