Default New bfp and tugging/pulling feeling on lower right side--normal?

Hi ladies, well I guess my heading says it all, lol. I just got a bfp. Beta today was 64. I have had some breast tenderness (new for me), but mostly a tugging/pulling feeling on my lower right abdomen. It doesn't hurt, I just notice it a lot. Is this normal? I'm so nervous about everything right now!

    Thanks : )

    congrats...
I have been getting the same feeling in lower left abdomen. I wonder about it too...it doesn't hurt, but it's there. I have read it's normal to have dull achy feeling...I have also asked my OB and she said it's okay...as long as I am not bleeding actively...

    Hello,

I had the same thing when i got my bfp. Dr told me it would be my corpeus luteum cyst causing the tugging/pain sensation. Try not to worry about it. When you get more further along, you learn to ignore all the pains. I am 21 weeks and everything pains- as in- my back, neck, shoulders, my legs are so tired all the time.. Hehe i feel like im so old..
Unless you have very painful cramps or bleeding i wouldnt worry about it..
Goodluck and enjoy it, its such an amazing time..

i felt a lot of cramping the first couple of weeks. they actually hurt so much that i'd wake up in the middle of the night.
doctor's were worried about a possible ectopic, but they ruled that out after the ultrasound. So, the pain was just being caused by the uterus makin' room

I just asked my dr about this today, because last night I woke up from the pain. He said its totally normal, as long as no bleeding and it doesn't linger for hours upon hours. He also said for first time mom's its a lot more noticeable because the uterus has never done that before. So its normal to feel some pain. ETA: Also what really helps me when I start feeling it is to drink more water. For some reason it seems to help it calm down or something.

Thanks ladies. It's now switched to the left side and feels more like a pinching. I hope this is also normal. Has it jumped sides for you guys? It's pretty constant...

Schmetterling, I'm 5 weeks and have been having menstrual-like cramps (lower back) about every other day and it usually seems to peak at night. Twice it was so bad it actualy woke me up and I couldnt get back to sleep for a while. I'm not having any bleeding, but from everything I've read online, cramps dont necessarily mean a bad thing. Thanks for the reassurance!

I just got my bfp last week, and I'm still really really early (Week 5). I've had the exact pain you are describing: it's like a pinching feeling on the right side, and sometimes it seems to radiate down to the hip or even a little bit lower. I started feeling it the day before I got my bfp. I was really scared of an ectopic pregnancy but then two things happened: I read online that you usually can't feel an ectopic pregnancy until 6-8 weeks, and I also started feeling the same pain on the left side. Like yours, mine is pretty constant, but it seems more noticable in the evenings. I completely understand your nervousness though. I'm not worrying about it 24/7 anymore, but I know I'm really looking forward to my first u/s on June 17th. It'll be nice when the doctor can rule out a fraction of the hundreds of things that can go wrong with this little miracle.

I had that spasm-like cramping on my lower right side. Like very dull cramping. I was worried about ectopic, but it was never painful and my betas rose well. Turns out that on my 7 week U/S that that was EXACTLY where the baby was! What I felt was the bean implanting! Congrats!
