I didn't take progesterone suppositories but I had spotting at 5, 9, 14, and 18 weeks with DS. It didn't mean anything and he's perfectly healthy.

Yup i sure did. I took Endometrin Vaginal inserts 100mg 2x a day. I spotted pink to red from 6 weeks pregnant straight to 8 weeks. My dr said that Progesterone inserts can cause a lot of irritation to ur cervix causing ur cervix to be even more sensitive than it already is. It happened to me and freaked me out. But totally normal with those inserts.

    Gemini,
I am experiencing the same thing but I am not on progesterone supplements. I am almost 5 weeks pregnant (on Tuesday) and have some brown spotting when I wipe and sometimes a few small drops on my underwear (it comes and goes). The book, What to Expect When Expecting says its normal as long as your not having severe cramps or bleeding heavily. I'm trying not to worry about it and am just focusing on being happy that I actually got pregnant. It looks like we are both due at the end of Feb. 2011. Keep me posted on your pregnancy & I'll keep you in my prayers! ~Mayme

I am on progesterone suppository 200 mg once a day and I never get any spotting. I didn't know you spotted on these.

To quote my Dr., and I know this is gross especially for those of you with m/s, "the cervix during pregnancy is a lot like raw hamburger" therefore, a vaginal u/s, intercourse, and even the act of inserting suppositories can cause some bleeding, not to worry! As long as no severe cramping or heavy bleeding.

LOL, eww that is gross....but true. Also it could be from inplantation. I have had a bit, and I had it with ds too...not uncommon at all, like you said, as long as it is not heavy bleeding with cramping.

I'm just in week 6, and have nice small pearl progesterone suppositories (my sister had big wax-like ones! yuk!), and only had my first spotting this week after IC, for about 12 hours and then it stopped. I think so long as you aren't having intense cramps or soaking sort of spotting, it may be okay. Call the doc/nurse if you are worried!

I had spotting early in pregnancy as well... I used progesterone suppositories but the dr thinks most of my spotting was caused by rupturing cysts... though I did notice how much more sensitive my cervical area was!
