I raved about the Shiseido Sun Protection Lotion awhile ago but found that it makes my skin break out because it's so heavy yet it isn't a very effective moisturizer for me. I've since gone back to using Eucerin for Sensitive Skin with SPF 30 each morning and avoid the white mask effect by applying it just after taking a shower so it soaks in quickly.

Pure organic filtered coconut oil. Its saturated fat, which is what the natural oil on your face is so it soaks in quickly, doesn't leave your skin oily, is cheap, and normalizes your skin the best because it matches the chemical makeup of the natural oils on your face.

Currently I am using La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense and REN day cream. But I also really like Clarins skincare.

Organic pure coconut oil is thee best moisturizer I have ever used. Its all natural and smells great. It leaves skin feeling silky smooth for a long time. You can even eat it, and cook with it! sounds crazy i know.

I have used Cetaphil in the past...my skin is so oily that I really don't use it much! I need
something to dry it out a little!

Hello everyone! This will be my very first reply! :-)

I have struggled with acne caused by PCOS for 2 years! I had 5-10 average cystic acne on my cheeks and chin area ALLL the time. I also had white heads all over my cheeks. As many of you guys know it really took a HUGE toll on my self confident. I was a huge skin care and make up junkie and all that just went down the drain. I was a sad woman!!! Anyhow, I am confident to say I am now about 90% clear. I applied all my knowledge in skin care and made huge progress. First nothing more helped me get a kick start than sweating. I used sauna regularly but found an easier option. I bought a face steamer. Everyday after shower I steamed my face for 20 minutes or so. Right when I come out I washed my face with green tea. Yes green tea! I just soaked a tea bag in a cup of hot tap water before I steam my face. I did not use water. Just green tea. After I wiped my whole entire face with T.N dickenson's blue label witch hazel on a cotton ball. This company makes another formula which they call yellow label. It is specifically made for face but this formula seem to leave my skin slimy. After witch hazel is dried ( takes no more than 10 seconds after you apply) I used very small dab of cetaphil CREAM ( not the lotion) ONLY ONLY ONLY on the spots where seemed to be flaky and dried. Most of us don't have acne ALL over the face so it only makes sense to treat where it is actually needed. I think that's where a lot of people make the mistake. Putting gunk on your whole entire face doesn't some how help your acne. If you apply acne medicine or any treatment of area where you DONT have acne you are creating a whole different issue with area where you did not have any problem in the first place. Reason why I did not use lotion was that lotion is not ever effective if your skin is dried. It's the water that moisturizer NEEDS to work. Face skin dry the fastest in your whole entire body. Even if you come right out of the shower and pat dry. Your face is already too dried to take on lotion. Cream is obviously thicker in consistency and tent to lock up the remaining moisture much more effectively. Another tip for me was keeping my face oil free. I couldn't obviously wash my face all the time ( over washing your face is bad for you anyways) so I used oil absorbing blotting paper. I used over 20 different brand and finally found something that was just simple. Too many products nowadays have too many ingredient in them and they always caused me to break out. The brand I highly recommend is called Gatsby facial clear Japanese oil blotting paper. They also make wet version and powdered version but I like the plain and simple blotting paper they offered. This black filmed materials blotting sheets saved my face from breaking out. I Love it and highly recommend for anybody who wants to keep skin matted.

I hope you to try! It doesn't cost an arm and legs and it's very very effective. I saw improvement within 2 weeks.

    Good luck everyone! :-)

Hello, I would absolutely recommend Avene soap free face wash for blemish prone skin(its bright blue in a clear bottle) . I have used it for years and it is very good non drying wash. Don't be put off by the price it lasts forever. Some Avene stands give testers.

On a mosituriser note I have been using Avene cicalfate repair cream. It isn't a moisturiser technically, its a bit like sudocrem but it is the only one I use now. It downtime block my pores *does a small dance*

Both are pricey but I have tried everything and this seems to work for now.

Dermatologists recommend using a daily facial moisturizer as part of a skin care routine. Gently cleansing the face removes dead skin cells, dirt and bacteria, but it also strips the skin of needed hydration.

To be more specific, I inject the herb / flower benefits of beautiful hair. Such as horsetail and nettles, in the water. They make my hair shiny, soothing the scalp. And add the smell too.

I love the Avene range. I use the Extremely Gentle Cleanser, as moisturiser I use in winter the Clenance K and in summer an Emulsion SPF 20. At night I highly recommend TriAcneal which helps to eliminate skin imperfections (like acne scars in my case!)
