Default Any Natural Ways of Building Uterine Lining?

Anyone know of natural ways to build uterine lining? Does this sound like what I need to do?

I'm not trying to conceive just yet as I'm on an AD, but would like to get my cycles going nice and strong, and then get off the AD. Anyway, since starting a very low sugar and low carb diet the past 3-4 months, I have had a period every month!! Yay! I'm pretty sure I ovulated during this time, too, based on change of cervical mucus (stretchy egg-white consistency) half-way through cycle. The problem is, my AF is pretty light (just need a panty-liner for all 5-6 days. They are also consistently 35 days apart.

Is this normal? I know when I was on BCPs, my periods were alot heavier. I'm thinking that progesterone is probably low (??) Any natural ways to build the blood and lining?

    Thanks, ladies!

I think Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is supposed to help with the uterine lining. (Never used this personally) You could do progesterone cream after ovulation as well (I do this to help with LP)...

With the RRL tea you need to drink 3-5 cups a day. I take it in capsule form so I only have to take 2 little pills a day. Its so much easier. But yeah. I take RRL and baby aspirin to thicken my lining.

I agree with pp. RRL, baby aspirin and all natural progesterone cream. Do not get progesterone with yams in it.

Why would you not use ones that have yams in them? I thought that Wild Yam Cream was the best. The only other one you can get OTC is made of soy and soy can disrupt ovulation if taken after ovulation. So, I'm confused.

edit: oops, I mean BEFORE ovulation. Not after. lol Most people using it to TTC though aren't taking it before ovulation anyway.

I have a question about low dose aspirin. I'd like to take it to help my lining, but my pharmacist told me I shouldn't use it without my doctor's approval because there are risks in taking it. I wouldn't even bother talking to my doctor about it because he gets irritated with me whenever I tell him I think my lining is too thin (it's always below 8mm) and tells me I don't need to make it thicker. So, my question is, was the low dose aspirin recommended to you by your doctors? What are the supposed risks of taking it?

Low dose aspirin is relatively low risk, and generally most doctors think that the benefits outweigh the risks. The only risks really are that it has a blood thinning effect so if you have a bleeding problem you maybe shouldn't take it... or if you are a teenager then there is a risk of Reyes Syndrome. But otherwise its generally safe.

I don't understand your doctor saying that below 8mm is not to worry about. Most doctors say that 8mm is the minimum it should be, and its not even possible to get pregnant (in most cases) if it is below 5. So, I don't know.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but if it were me I'd go ahead and take it. As long as you don't have a bleeding issue it really couldn't hurt anything.

    And Good Luck.

Well as long as the cream has USP progesterone in it and that is it then you are fine. You don't want a cream that says it has wild yam in it or soy in it. I think my creams are made from wild yam but the have to be processed in a lab to turn them into bioidentical progesterone cream...

    Thanks, Deni.

My lining has never been below 5, but it's always been around the 6-7mm mark. My doctor is happy with anything over 5 and he won't give me estrogen supplements to build it up. So, I'm on my own in trying to get it thicker. I tried the red raspberry leaf last month and I think it helped a bit. I went from 6mm in iui #2 to 6.8 in iui #3, but I'd be happier if it was around the magical 8mm mark.

I think one of my problems is that I ovulate early on clomid, around day 11. It doesn't give my uterus as much time to grow a nice thick lining. So, I'm going to continue with the red raspberry leaf, add low dose aspirin and do uterine massage to see if that makes any difference this month.

By the way, I would highly recommend the book The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis. It talks about the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to fertility and I swear it's already made a difference (for the better) in my cycle. It walks you through acupressure and massage to increase blood flow to the uterus and ovaries.

I've been very interested in that book for a long time. I might order it today from Amazon. Because, I'm thinking I am going to order new progesterone cream anyway. lol

and cmschapp... Thanks for that info. Yeah, my cream says it is made from yams, but it is USP bioidentical progesterone. So it should be ok then right? Maybe I don't have to order new cream today? lol

I use Emerita and Life Flo I think both of those are made from wild yams nothing matches progesterone without being processed in the lab so i think you are fine with what you are using.

Mine is called Natural Radiance, but it says on the label USP bioidentical progesterone. I wanted to buy some Life Flo, because its what the herbal specialist at my health food store suggested. But its $35 at her store and the same exact thing is on Amazon for $18. So yeah, I'll be buying it from Amazon. lol

Another question about the low dose aspirin: do you take it only up until ovulation or do you continue with it in the tww?

Hey, I just thought I'd let you know that I just ordered "the infertility cure" as recccomended above, as I'm going the chinese path anyway. I'll let you know what I think of it and if I get any helpful cues.
