    Default Does Aldactone/Spironolactone lower estrogen?

I know it's used to lower androgens, but I was curious if anyone knows if it can lower estrogens too. I can't find much info on it online. I read somewhere that estrogen is made from testosterone, though, so if I lower my testosterone levels, would that lower my estrogens?

Doctors said my testosterone is high, but I've never been tested or told much about my other hormones. I have some symptoms of depression and I was wondering if it has anything to do with my other hormones. I don't really know, though, just a guess. I don't even know if there's anything wrong with the levels of my other hormones.

Anyways, if anyone has any info on the effect of aldactone on estrogen, I'd be curious to hear it.

    Thanks everyone.

I have read that spiro increases estrogen levels, and may lower progesterone. I read that from a study on rats.
