    Default Vitamin D success story?

    Hi Everyone,

Has Vitamin D helped anyone with their pcos symptoms? My levels came out very low and Dr has put me on a high dose. I have heard there is a link between them and would love to hear any success story whether it helped with your fatigue , irregular periods or conceiving. Also were u presribed Vit D2 or D3?

I take 5000iu of Vitamin D every day, but didn't realize it might help PCOS symptoms. I take it for depression, and it's also a minor anti inflammatory. It's worked wonders for the depression at least. Not sure how much it's helping with the other symptoms.

I don't know if it's because of the vitamin d but I started losing weight once I started it. I was put on met in June 2010. In March 2011 I started 1000iu of Vit. D and over the next three months I lost sixteen pounds. I increased my dosage to 2000iu this winter and have lost another three pounds. Not drastic but I'm not really doing anything to lose the weight. I'm regular now too. I mean, 28-30 day cycles. Again I'm not sure if it is the D or that met has finally started doing its job. I'm not as tired since I started taking it either.

I've been taking 4,000iu of vitamin D3 every day since last month and I actually O'd on my own this cycle (on cd9!!) I had tons of ewcm too which I never get. I'm not sure if the vit d had anything to do with it or if it was just a fluke. I had low blood levels though which is why I started taking it. I feel so much better (not so down) and I'm hoping it helps with the weight loss too. (Lord that would be a huge plus, LOL)

This is the second cycle taking vitamin D3 and i feel like my body's gone on vacation.Usually by now i have signs of O or even signs AF is due soon supposedly on the 12th.
    I've had absolutely nothing,no ewcm,no ovary pains,nothing.
The only thing i've noticed in the last few days is i'm not hungry.
Also during this cycle i had a weird headache, plus heart flutters and last weekend i was unwell.I was up to 7000ui and have now scaled it back to 4000ui and i feel well again now.

I have been taking Met regularly again since October 11, and I hadn't lost any weight (with exercise) but now I added Vit D3 and D-Chiro Inositol since last month and I have already lost 8 pounds and my belly is deflating. My mood has improved tremendously as well. Not really monitoring ovulation, but plan on doing it this month to see if I am ovulating again.

I actually ovulated last month (early) and had tons of ewcm! Yay! I also had a 13 day LP so I'm feeling encouraged about that. I have managed to lose 4 lbs in the last 2 months and I'm feeling less depressed

I'm on cd 9 now and I'm really hoping that I ov again this month on my own...now if we can just catch a sticky egg

Just an update from me regarding the Vitamin D3 and DCI, no sugar cravings at all, just celebrated my birthday on the 6th and I only ate half a piece a cake, which is SO unlike me. Haven't weighed myself lately, but I just had a 31 day cycle, which is down from 35-40 days. Wasn't monitoring ovulation, but I did notice EWCM during this cycle for the first time in a long time. Will be doing OPK's and temping again to confirm if I am truly ovulating, but I suspect so. Planning on doing Femara next cycle, but hopefully I can get my BFP naturally this month . I'm taking 2000iu Vitamin D/ Met 1000-1500mg (depending if I remember my bedtime 1/2 pill) / 2pills of DCI per day.

I'm taking 4,000iu of vitamin D3 (thats the dose my dr suggested that I take). Congrats on your weight loss as well! And thanks for the well wishes...I'm hoping we both get our long awaited BFP's soon.

I've been taking it (15000 ius) for two weeks now and I feel a lot better...more energy, better mood. I did have some ovary pain for the first week and I thought maybe af would come but nothing, now no pain either. The other main thing I've notice...it seems to have slowed hair growth all over my body...and the growth I do have is finer.....I'm hoping that it will grown some head hair back too :/

    Hi,

I take 2000 IU / day since two months. I noticed I have a better mood. But my cycles are still irregular...
