Progesterone gel. It kind of coagulates inside you and builds up. It's gross!!

It is gross, especially when it gets clumpy and all sorts of interesting colors that you don't want to see leaving your body. Whatever wipes away with the toilet paper after I use the toilet I let go, but I don't make any extra efforts to remove it. Definitely turned DH off though.

I switched to pills, even though I know the cream is 'better' just because of that.

It actually reminded me of a yeast infection... gross!

I left it. It will flush out as needed.

ok ok I admit to digging once or twice (with clean washed hands so as not to disturb my cervix) lol

    It's annoying !

OMG!!! I hate it!! I am guilty of swiping a finger in there at night to clean out some of the built up gunk. I feel like I'm growing a white sponge in there LOL

I dig it out in the shower every day, why, because in my mind since its a wax thats left behind it hinders your body from absorbing medicine when new one is put in. Its gross but if it helps me make/keep a baby I don't care.

I don't see any reason not to "dig it out" after several hours. I insert the Crinone at 7:30am everyday and don't scoop out the remnants until 9pm. I doubt those clumps are serving any purpose at that point LOL.

I know!! I just don't want to remove any of it if my body is still somehow absorbing it- but I am also worried it is inhibiting absorption of the fresh stuff! I'm just a worry wort....lol

And ya.... Um I don't want my man to see any of this business. It's not very sexy is it?

Haha definitely not. I told DH about the build up and he was like, "gross". Sometimes I regret not keeping some things to myself LOL.

As for being afraid to scoop leftovers out, I googled it and found a website where a woman said her RE recommended making a swipe with a clean finger to clean out excess build up. But I guess the only way to know for sure is to check with your doctor.

Mine didn't mention it, and when I read the materials that came with it they indicated it's designed to allow absorption over time. So I don't make any special effort to remove it, I just let my body do its work. YMMV though.

As for grossing DH out, well, yeah... it does... but truth be told I think he's kind of fascinated by the process as a whole. He asks a lot of questions and really likes to see the ultrasounds. When I had a uterine septum removed, the RE gave him some hi-res photos of the inside of my uterus and he thought they were pretty cool.

Doreen, are you testing on Valentine's Day? I'm trying to hold out, but it's getting tough.

I didn't realize we are on the same cycle I have my beta scheduled for Valentine's Day too. I've been randomly testing- all bfn. Not feeling too positive, but definately remaining hopeful!

    Best wishes to you all!

P.s. thanks for the info, Justine. I had a feeling that because it binds up and doesn't really come out that it might be meant to absorb over time.
