Back in 2010 i was told i had PCOS after being off the pill for over a year. Ovulation was difficult to detect and i gave it one last shot when i thought i might be ovulating. I got lucky and had a healthy baby boy he is now almost 14 months old and i have noticed my symptoms starting to return. I am having massive hair loss, acne is back and so are the mood sings. I got a copy of all the tests they ran back in December 2009 and from what i understand the reason i got an iffy answer and then a referral to an endocrinologist is because most of my symptems and test results said PCOS but the hormones were not as elevated or out of wack to say YES its pcos. i never got to see the endocrinologist because i got pregnant first and it just took too long to see one with the public health care here in NZ. so i have wanted to get my hormones tested again. last time i was tested on was on cd 37 of my longest cycle that i can remember but then again i only started tracking my cycles precisely in 2009. also i was told the doctor should have done some more tests. right now im still breastfeeding so can they run those tests or should i just wait till im done breastfeeding? or are my test results below good enough to say yes its PCOS. Also i never got an ultrasound before i got pregnant but they didn't see any cysts while i was pregnant. I will say two days before i tested and got a positive i felt this sharp pain like something popped inside on my left side.
