Hi NurseJackie,
Glad to hear that you are having success with Spiro. May I ask what dose you are taking? Thanks!
Thanks everyone, I could'nt be happier! HiPal-I am taking 100mg twice a day. My endo told me that there is so little and such slow improvement with lower doses, that he always prescribes the highest dose (I know a lot of people do not agree with that, but I'm all for it)
The difference is remarkable!

Wow that is fantastic. I had heard something about spiro before but since we were ttc my ob said that it was not even an option worth talking about.

I'm so happy for you! Yes Spiro does work for some people. Me included. It's good when you find something that helps. Next you can expect much softer skin too. I know some people don't think it does much, but as I've stated several times, everyone is different. What works for one may not work for another. The key is to find something that does work for you and stick with it.
Wow! Huge improvement!

Hi NurseJackie,
You gave me hope, and I am thankful for that!
Unfortunately, I cannot start taking spiro (yet) since I am trying to start a family... My degree of hairloss is like yours; and I have excess chin hair which is dark, thick, and I have to be sure to pluck daily so no one notices. It really is paralyzing, upsetting, and confusing; and I still have a really hard time with it at times (probably once a week at minimum!). Thankfully, I have an awesome husband; but there's always the rest of the world. I guess it makes us stronger somehow!
I wanted to know if you're experiencing any side-effects? And also, would you know of any alternatives, cosmetic or otherwise, that I may use in this time period, short of wearing a wig?
Thank you so much!
Congratulations, your hair is looking great. I wish spiro was working for me, now that I see what it can do thinning ladies.
Great news! Congrats!
