This is awesome! I struggled with infertility for over 6 years and was on Metformin for only 6 short WEEKS before I got preggo! I am 24 weeks! Right now at my local gorcery store pharmacy, they offer diabetic drugs for free so even though I was not covered under insurance when I was taking Met, I never had to pay for it. I always said as soon as they get enough evidence to call it a fertility drug, everyone better watch out because the price will skyrocket! Now I think that even more! Thanx for posting this!

very cool,.... yay Im on 2000mg a day. Mum was diagnosed with b/cancer 2 years ago but managed to beat it. I hope that the met will prove to be a drug that helps against cancer, it would make me feel better and b a great breakthrough for the medical world

It makes a lot of since. My Father had cancer and when he was diagnosed, I did a lot of research and found that sugar is detrimental to cancer patients...yet the dr.s tell them to eat what they want. Cancer feeds off sugar. The Metformin cuts down the amount of sugar that the body absorbs and insulin production...and yada yada. It totally makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
