High progesterone levels
I'm wondering if there are any side effects to having high progesterone? I had my first round of lab work done on Monday when I was 3w6d pregnant. My RE said my progesterone was above 40. Doesn't that seem high? I guess it's not a bad thing, but I'm wondering if that is why I'm feeling so sick. Thoughts???

I had very high progesterone in pregnancy (it was over 100 by 4w 3d, luckily there was only one bean in there!) and always tend to have fairly high levels after ovulation even when not pregnant, and that's definitely what made me feel nauseous compared to hcG levels. I actually wasn't that sick when pregnant with DS overall, but I remember by 7DPO after taking clomid, etc (for my BFN cycles) I'd feel really crummy and was always surprised/disappointed I wasn't pregnant. It could definitely play a factor! Hope it settles for you soon!

With DS2 at 7 weeks my progesterone was 210!!! No wonder I was feeling so sick, tired, and gross in general! Really nothing bad is going to happen to baby- it will just make you feel like crap!

My progesterone with DS was over 70 and it was just because I released multiple (3-4) follicles. I didn't have any nausea until much further along and my progesterone was really high.

I had low progesterone (12.6 at almost 8 weeks) and terrible morning sickness.

I think high progesterone levels can also cause dizziness. Your numbers don't sound unreasonably high. Congratulations on your pregnancy
