Zainab, IA it's just due to the UTI, which is pretty common. Now I remember that I had some bleeding also, around 10 weeks. It was also brownish discharge, but we had an ultrasound and the baby was well, alhumdulillah.

NHA: may Allah make things easy for you sister. Do as much dua as you can. i felt depressed in the months before I got pregnant and the duas and dhikr are what got me out of it. I have issues with anxiety too so I know how you feel. It's so frustrating.

    Hope everyone else is well.

    Salaam Ladies!!!

I've been lurking forever it seems. Trying to keep up with RL and all of you at the same time. It's been exciting!

I hate to just try and jump back in with an instant question but I do have one.

So we stopped BC at the beginning of the year. Periods are fairly regular, between 29 and 35 days. No ovulating as expected.

But here's my question: I'm thinking of adding Saw Palmetto or Red Clover or Red Yeast to my mix of stuffs. Anyone have any experience with any of these?

Coming up on 36 in a little bit here and am pretty much resigned to a life of no babies for us. *sigh*

Salam Simone! Nice to see you posting again. I wish I had some advice on those supplements. Have you tried the Alternative Treatment section? Have you ever tried metformin?

    Salaam Simone!
I don't think you want to take saw palmetto if you are ttc because I've heard it can damage a male fetus. I don't know about the other two though.

    Salam Ladies!

I have a very small and insignificant dilemma that I want to run by you guys. Earlier this month I was at a PTA meeting/pot luck and one lady liked my dish so much that I offered the leftovers to her. I mentioned that the dish was not mine though (i.e., I need it back), and she promised to get it back to me promptly and in one piece ( it's glass). Anyway, this was in early June and I emailed the lady a week ago asking what happened to the dish. It felt very awkward to email her about it, but the dish belongs to my sister and I was responsible for it, you know? She said she'd bring it over on Monday (which has come and gone now). I haven't heard from her at all. Should I consider the dish long gone, or should I email her about it again? Maybe give it a couple more weeks? I don't want to come off as too pushy - like the psycho glass lady, you know!? If it were my own dish, I don't think I'd care as much, but now I have to go out and buy another one to replace it for my sister.

    Salaam ladies..

Mahjab allhumdulilah I am home. The bleeding has stopped I am on antibiotics for the uti and still waiting for my gp to get all the reports from the hospital. I'm hoping to get a referral to the gyno in the next couple of weeks.. I may push for it actually. My gp is good but I would feel more comfort with being seen by a specialist.

simone sorry I can't help u I never took any alternate meds except I tried vitex once.

Diamond firstly I think it's just rude not to return a dish to someone and secondly to promise to return it and then to not. I mean she could have an explanation but a call would have cleared that. I totally don't think u sound like a 'crazy glass lady' but that's because I know my SIL who even calls for her plastic Tupperware if god forbid u have it more than a day and not drop it off! I would just send another email to just remind her maybe let her know that it's not ur dish and therefore you need to return it...
I dislike being put in these situations...

Diamond...i cant stand people that have no concept of time and who hang on to borrowed things....if it were me...to insure i get my stuff back i would call tell her ur sis is having a dinner and needs it by such and such day..id ask for her address and go pick it up myself...if she says she wont be home i would ask her to leave it by the front door in a bag and tell her the time u will be by...i know its more work...but ppl like that will hold o to stuff forever...and it sounds harsh but i think its a form of stealing..go get back the dish girl! U wont be offering her leftovers next time lol hope u get it back!

Zainab..glad the bleeding stopped..hope u get an appt soon

Zainab, alhumdulillah. Good to hear that you are well. You need a referral for a gyno? I just made an appt with one. I guess it's different in Canada. IA you will be seen by one soon.

Diamond: I once loaned a nice Pyrex dish to a friend years ago and never got it back. I have no idea what she did with it. I now wash yogurt containers and use those! I would keep trying to get it back. Some people are so weird and irresponsible about these things.

What foods did you guys start off your LOs with? I tried cereal but she didnt like it. I am giving her fruit and veggies only so far. I'll see what the doc has to say at her next appt.

Zainab, I'm so glad you updated. Alhamdulillah you are home and things are well!

mahjab, I started with cereals as well. DS1 had no issues, but with DS2 I had to try a few different types of cereals to find one he liked. I believe it was a rice cereal that he finally liked. I also tried to introduce all of the yucky tasting veggies first like peas, beans, etc., because apparently if you start with the sweet stuff, they are more apt to reject the more 'savory' flavours.

Thanks everyone for your advice. This lady is actually the head of the PTA and a very pleasant person in general. She did say she's been busy (who isn't, though?), but I did find it odd that she didn't offer any kind of explanation for not bringing it on Monday. I have a small hope that she'll drop it off today Insha'Allah.

maroon, I'm certainly not going to loan out someone else's dish ever again. I learned my lesson. I know if I loan out my own, it's with a risk of not getting it back from now on as well. I like your suggestion of my sister needing it back for a dinner. I think I'll wait until Ramadan starts, since I know my sister will legitimately need the dish back, and email this lady about it again. My sister doesn't know that I lent the dish yet, and I'm praying she won't ask about it anytime soon!
