Default Red rash on top of legs...

I noticed this morning that I have a bit of rash in the crease between the top of my legs and belly on both sides of my body.

I am overweight and have "belly hang down" that probably keeps moisutre in, but it's been that way for awhile and I've never had this before!

I did have some uncomfortable panties on the other day that may have irritated that area, but I haven't done any majorly chaffing activities or anything recently.

Anyone know what causes this or how to clear it up? It is bright red and stings.

My initial reaction was to cover it with antibiotic ointment, but I think that would keep air from getting to it. So now I'm thinking baby powder to help keep it dry?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

I know this isn't going to be a nice thought, but it might be a yeast infection. I am just finishing a treatment for one along my panty line.
I didn't realise it was a yeast infection until it got really bad. I just thought it was chafing from my underwear.
If it doesn't go away, I would go see your dr.

I get the same thing! This may sound funny, but I use Desitin Creamy diaper rash ointment. It clears it right up!!!

I'm going to try the diaper rash ointment if the baby powder doesn't help clear it up - it honestly looks a bit better today.

And PLEASE don't let it be a yeast infection...that just sounds hard to deal with and I'm sorry you have one now, bethers!

    I'll keep you posted...
