I take mine (1500mg) three times a day. I didn't think you could take 1000mg at the same time.

Coolcatsangel- thanks for reply! When I was TTC my RE had me on 1500mg and he had me take them with breakfast & dinner only (1000mg with dinner), but is seems to make more sense to me to spread them out more evenly.

    Thnaks again for your reply!

I only put that I took my last two pills together because i have been a total ditz lately and cannot remember to take my pills on time so i end up having to take the last two together. I don't have side effects from the met so it hasn;t bothered me at all.

I take 2000 mg/day. Each pill is 500mg. My prescription says 2 pills twice a day.

But I take 1 with breakfast, 2 with lunch, and 1 at dinner time.

I tried taking 1 pill four times a day but that got old fast and then I'd always forget the last pill.

I don't eat enough in the morning to take 2 and if I did the result would be low blood sugar feelings. Bleh.

My way works for me b/c I am most prone to snacking btwn lunch and dinner and I figure that where I am really messing up my insulin levels so best to take 2 mets at lunch.

I'm on 1700mg -- 850mg twice a day. I take one with breakfast and one at night. I attempt to take it at the same time every night...but it doesn't work that often .

    Hi,

    I'm the same as PaulaMC,

I take 2 tablets of 850mg per day.

I too try to take both tablets at the same time daily - more to remember to take them than not too...prob is I have to make sure I have milk eveyday so I can have cereal the next morning with tablet lmao!

    Good Poll

I never knew this! Mine say take one three times a day with food.

I wanted to ask my doc about increasing them next week when I am up there but was worried about when I would take the last pill and not forget to take it!

I haven't had any s/e either except nausea & food adversions which I can live with!

Thanks for all of your responses. I just started back on met and I'm going to talk to my GP about taking 1 pill with each meal instead of the 2 with dinner...

    Thanks again!
