Question have questions about using prednisone with clomid

first of all, i am currently on prednisone for a completely unrelated reason. i'll be on it for another month. but as i was researching the side effects, i kept coming across articles about using it to ttc. i was trying to find the answers to the questions that i had but i couldn't find the answers in any search i did. so here are my questions. *has anyone taken prednisone along with clomid to ttc? *did it help you? *is it used along with clomid, or before?

i'm going to bring this up with my DR on my next visit. i have been on a ttc break, but we're ready to start trying again. so, any info will be much appreciated. thanks.

I used dexamethasone along with clomid to get pg. Dex is also a steriod. It works when I was ttc with my daughter. I am currently on dex and going to do clomid again. My dheas level was too high which they thought was the reason I was not getting pg. Good luck, it may help!

So, you took dex at the same time you were taking clomid? (congratulations on your ttc success, by the way). Also, how often should I have hormone levels checked. ( I know it sounds bad but I only worry about hormone levels etc when I'm ttc.)
thank you for your help. And good luck this time around.

I started taking dex in may, and didnt add clomid until sept, but that was only because I was trying to get a level down. First month of clomid WITH dex I was pg. My levels (dheas and cortisol) were tested every 2 months while on the steriods. I am on them now and my endo isn't as good at checking them which I don't like. Anyhow, GOOD LUCK if you have any questions, just PM me

    Hi,
I have ovulated on dex alone, so it is possible. For me though, clomid helps me produce heathier eggs. Everytime I have o'd without clomid, I have MC. Hope it helps you!
