    Unhappy new and confused

I was just recently diagnosed pcos and dunno much bout it or how serious it can be and this is why I decided to join so maybe I can be enlightened .
I mean what exactly do I have to do to keep this under control .
What are some of the problems that go with pcos and what kinds of lifestyle changes do I have to make??
My doctor said I do have weight lose on my side I have lost 65 pounds so far and am still losing . I had a tubal ligation 9 years ago so getting pregnant is not an issue anymore .
I do have the excess hair growth geez I would make a man jealous with the beard I could grow rflmao !!
I have cystic acne that has been getting worse and they are getting infected now .I had to go to the hospitol recently because of an infection . My periods well If I had one I could tell ya if they were normal or not lol I have a period maybe every three months and when I do not to be gross but I could probably use one tampon the whole time .
okay well now ya know a little about me .I am just really hoping some one can help me out here to understand this PCOS .....

All the symptoms you described are treatable. Your first step is to make an appointment with an endocronologist. He/she will test you for IR and hormone levels. Metformin is used for the IR and can help with weightloss, cycle regulation and sometimes skin issues. You can go on Spironolactone which helps with hairyness and acne. (Oh man does it help with acne!) See the doctor about it and ask any question you wish here. Also you might want to d/l the guide here and bring it to your appointment. GL and welcome...
