Hysterectomy on Jan 17, 2006
Going back on Meds June 1st to treat PCOS symptoms though ovaries are gone.

ok the long and the short of it is this....
about 8 years ago, my husband and his ex wife adopted a little girl from CAS, at first it went well but after a year my husband's ex went back to work and when she wasn't working she went to Bingo and neglected thier daughter. Thus began further problems for this little girl. My husband was on the road working to support his family but couldn't be there full-time to give this special needs child the attention that she needed in light of her past baggage, and emotional needs and issues. When his marriage broke down and he and his ex parted ways the ex wife stated flat out she didn't want the daughter, my husband knew that he could not care for this little girl and meet the needs that she had at that time. With a heavy heart he gave her back to CAS.
When I met him and we started dating he showed me her picture and I fell in love with her the first time I saw her. My husband cried more than once and blamed himself for ruining her life. I tried to reassure him that he did the best thing he could have for her in light of the circumstances. After almost 3 years I convinced him to send a letter to CAS. He thought he had no rights and was unsure that he would even get a response. To our suprise they have been very helpful and we are going to get a chance to see her in about a month. She has not been adopted and is still in care being moved from home to home. It's going to be a very slow process and we will work toward our ultimate goal, to bring her back into our lives. It's a very long and slow process and we have to be very careful to protect this child from anymore pain. The worker is going to talk to her this week and see if she wants to meet us. Bottom line is it's her decision and we will respect it. However the worker said she has been asking about her past and feels that she will want to see us.
So it was a good first day and we feel very positive about this. I know we together can make a good and stable home for her. Even if we only get to visit her. We will always remain in her life, we are not going away this time.
So between that and an Endometral Biopsy (which I never want to go through again!! OUCH) I have had an eventful day.

How awesome for you and for the love your husband has carried for this young lady. How very special you both are to want to be there for this girl. It sounds like she is wanting and needing you both.
