    Default Any VEET users around?

Hello Ladies! You all are looking pretty gorgeous!

I have major hair issues with my body, more hair than the average woman ... I have literally a beard, not a dark one that is super noticeable, but one that can get noticeably if I leave it long enough ... I also have some chest and abdominal hairs. Oh and I can't forget my tiny stash! lol

Well I have started using VEET for my chin/face area and for my legs and stomach ... I have noticed that it grows back in smoother and softer and lighter ... way cool!

Veet is a Depilatory Cream that you use ... you put an even amount on the areas you wish to be hairless and then wait for 3 minutes up to no longer than 8 minutes, depending on the thickness of your hair ofcourse and then hope in the shower and wash it off!

Always do a test patch 24hrs before use, to make sure you have no react to it.

Generally you aren't supposed to use it on your face, however I did a test patch and it doesn't give me a rash or anything, so I use it there. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Just thought I would let you all know!

Here is the website! >>> www.veet.com

Are there any other VEET users out there???

I have been usinng Veet or simular(depending on what they have when I am shopping) for years. I use it everywhere. There is actually a facial version of the stuff that works just the same but is a lot more gentle to sensitive skin...even the smell isn't as toxic.
It costs a little more for such a tiny tube but is definately worth it if you have sensitive skin or dermagraphism like me.

I have been using the Veet waxing kit at home for the past year. I use it on my chin/jaw and on my stomach. The rest I get done professionally.

How does the waxing kit work for ya bethers?

I have wanted to try it, but I am terrified ... I don't like pain all that much ...

BeetleGirl ... hmmmm, I haven't seen something like that around in the drugstore or pharmacy, maybe I need to look harder, might be better for me ...

I am glad I am not the only one to use it on my face those ... damn manly hairs! lol

Corrie - the waxing kit works well. I use the prewaxed strips. They are cold wax so you have to warm them up by rubbing them between your hands before you can use them. I usually cut them to size first too.
When it is cold out (like all winter) I find that I have to warm them up for an extra minute or so for best results. Oh, and I always make sure that the skin is held taunt (sp?) before I remove the wax strip.
    I'm very happy with it.

The facial hair stuff is actually by Nair.
It's called upper lip something but works wonders on my beard too.
The packaging is something like this but not quite.

There is also one just for facial hair too.

I think it looks different to me because the packaging in Canada is slightly different. More blue.

I just asked this same question on another thread. Glad to hear there is someone who uses VEET on their face. I'll give the ]patch test a whirl and see if it breaks me out.

I have an unusual amount of facial hair...and I'm talking big black,
    thick, stiff ones...

Hope this works...I bought the one with the bladless razor

Right on! I have been using VEET for my facial hair and so far it's worked pretty good, I get stubble the next day or two but I have noticed it comes back softer and lighter, less noticable. Yay Me!

That's it... I am going to try this special facial one... I was using the general one for the legs and so on, but I am going to find a facial one to do the sides of my face/cheeks with!

I recently discovered that Veet is no longer working for me. I was using their wax strips.
I have switched to Parissa's cold sugar with waxing strips and I am amazed at how much hair come off

I had a weird reaction to the Nair for legs. (I used it on my legs) My legs were covered in little red spots where the hair folicles are but it didn't even remove half of the hair. I still had to shave after that. I've been wanting to try some sort of hair remover for the face but don't know if any will even work. Anyone had one kind not work and another work great for them??
