that is alot! how long have you been on the 1700mgs? Is there a reason he thinks that dose is not working for you?

I have read that 2500 is the highest for PCOS. SO i think that dose would be ok as long as you can tolerate it. I am taking 2,000 daily. If your not comfortable taking so much have a talk with ur doc. You could even ask your pharmasist about the dosage.

I was only on 1700 mg for 1 month, my doctgor told me that if I didn't have my period at the end of the month then I was to call her. I called her and she upped the dosage then. So far the side effects aren't any different from when I was on the lower dosage, so I guess I'll just continue taking it. I just thought it might be too much because I haven't heard of anyone that takes this dosage.

    Default metformin

I am on 2000 mgs of metformin currently haven't seen a difference in anything. My doctors wanted me to bump up as well but when I did it made me very ill that might be something to watch out for
