    Default confused about nutrisystem site

if there is anyone doing nutrisystem i would appreiciate some help

i hear people who do the system talk about adding veggies and fruit etc to the meals..but when i go on the site i dont see anything about that. do you only get that info in the package when you actually order the meals??

also.. when i was browsing choices... under lunch for example was yogurt.
a cup of yogurt. i dont know if i am missing something here..but yogurt doesnt seem like a lunch..more like a snack right??

also i know you can pick what meals and food you want..but i dont see a print out so you can actually say how many of each snack or meals you want so how do you go about doing this??

    thanks so much!!! xoxox jenn

    Hi there.

If you haven't done so already, register as a member at Nutrisystem (it's free). Once you've registered, there's a lot more information available.

Once you register and enter the site, click on "your meal plan" along the left hand side. It will take you to a copy of the meal plan. As an FYI, I've copied and pasted it below.

With regards to the yogurt, the one you see as one of the Nutrisystem choices is considered a lunch (I've never tried it). You can add your own yogurt as a protein selection.

The website allows you to select the items that you want when you place your order online. You can select "I want to select my own menu" vs. "favorite foods package" (this option pre-selects what is sent to you). The site will then walk you through selecting a month's worth of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

    Hope this helps!

    Meal Plan
    Breakfast:
    NutriSystem Breakfast Entrée
    1 Fruit Serving
    1 Milk/Protein Serving

    Lunch:
    NutriSystem Lunch Entrée
    1 Milk/Protein Serving
    Salad Vegetables
    Fat-Free or Low-Fat Salad Dressing

    Snack:
    1 Fruit Serving
    1 Milk/Protein Serving

    Dinner:
    NutriSystem Dinner Entrée
    2 Vegetable Servings
    1 Salad or Fruit Serving
    1 Fat Serving

    Dessert:
    NutriSystem Dessert

If you have more than 100 pounds to lose add one low glycemic index carbohydrate serving to breakfast and dinner, and add one fruit serving to lunch.

I'm not certain that you have to join the site to find the info, but it's the only way I knew for you to find what you were looking for!

I've been on Nutrisystem since February 6 and have lost 43 pounds so far. I really like the food and the convenience of it!

If you do decide to order from Nutrisystem, let me know before you place your order. They have a referral program (via e-mail) where we can both save $15 when you order!

Good luck with whatever you decide on!

I went with the autoship. I belive my cost at the beginning was around the 287. I'm now paying about $263 (you get addtl discounts after you've been on autoship for a few months).

One thing I've found from reading the NS bulletin board is that everyone's tastes are different -- one person loves something while another one hates it. One lunch item that no one seems to like is the sweet & sour chicken (lunch). My favorite lunches are the vegetarian sloppy joes, pasta with beef, vegetable beef soup. I didn't care for the turkey dinners, but like pretty much all of the rest of the dinners. For breakfast, I love all of the cereals and don't really care for the muffins. Snacks -- I didn't care for the soy chips, but other people really seem to like them!
