Subscriptions?e Mail notifications

Some days I get notified of my subscribed threads and some days I don't.
I don't get what is going on???

That's odd. I don't know how you have your options set up, but do you automatically subscribe to threads when replying usually?

I had some trouble with my ISP's email client one time. I would get some of this boards notications via email and sometimes I wouldn't. I finally just switched to gmail and I haven't had any problems sense.

The only thing I can think of...

Under your USER CP, choose Edit Options at the left-hand side under Settings & Options.

Then scroll down just a tad to Messaging & Notification. Under that header, find Default Thread Subscription Mode. There is a drop-down menu.

Just out of curiousity is it set to... Instant Email Notification?

Yep, it's set to instant notification. It's really annoying to go to a thread and see there are lots of replies to it that I didn't get notified for.

Are some of the emails getting diverted by your spam filter? I have a few people who email me, and sometimes their emails land in my inbox, and sometimes in my 'bulk mail'. It's annoying, because now I have to check both boxes.

Hmmm... I don't know. Like I said, when this happened to me before it was due to my crappy ISP's email at the time. If you're interested in a gmail account, just let me know... Got plenty of invites to go around.

Good point Kat. I've had that happen too, even on gmail, but not with this board's notifications.

No, they are not being blocked either.
I AM getting notifications from this thread.

Should I have put this under the new board function forum--or is that just for all the new stuff???

Sorry Pam I am clueless. The only thing I can say is it must be a glitch or you are logging on sooner than the notification goes out? I am sure even though it says instant there must some sort of time delay.

I'm getting them on this thread and some of the newer threads but still not on my older threads. I guess I'll re- subscribe to them.
