Okay, yeah I've had chin hairs for years before my official diagnosis of PCOS.![]()
BEFORE being treated for PCOS the chin hair was very fine, blonde-ish (I'm a natrual brown with sun bleached red-brown in the summer) and the only ones you could see were those which would become ingrown or that random thick wiry one. The thick wiry ones would only show up one at a time and every few months or so.
Since being diagnosed and doing treatment the chin hair has CHANGED. Now they are all dark (closer to my eyebrow color which is a dark brown), thick wiry, become ingrown all the time. Most importantly it looks like I have a frigging dirty chin!
I've also noticed I have a ton more leg hair than usual. It's also corser. I used to go a good month between shaving and now I'm shaving every other week.![]()
My docs have prescribed me 112 mcg Levothyroxine; 20 mg Benicar HCT; 1500 mg Metformin ER. I'm also taking a multi-vitamin and B-Complex. Met ER was the usual 500-1000-1500 increasing. Levothyroxine was 120 mcg for 3 months then reduced to the current 112 mcg. I was off the Levoth for about 10-12 days between the two levels because of slow labs. During that time the ingrown hairs cleared up, and things thined out. Now it seems things are back with a vengence!![]()
Do any of you ladies have any idea why this is happening???![]()
Thanks!

My friend said she couldn't see it, but I don't know how she couldn't!! It is pretty darn obvious, so I think she was just being nice.
