Can someone please explain what all this means?I'm new here.
I'm not sure if I have PCOS or not, yet, but I have a lot of the symptoms. They seem to be getting worse, too.![]()
Trying to remember my symptoms, off-hand, here... I have hirsutism, irregular periods, very, very heavy periods, sometimes I don't have a period for a couple months, I keep gaining weight, even though I don't eat that much, and want to and keep trying to lose weight (I also have hypothyroidism), I have very painful periods, and sometimes I have cramps, when I don't have a period... I have polycystic ovaries, but not PCOS, the doctor said, the last time I was tested, a few yrs. ago. I'm thinking it's time to be re-tested.
Can anyone recommend any tests or anything? Thanks!

Try the Newbie board. There is a sticky on what tests to take and what to discuss with your doc. Some docs don't dx women with PCOS, but the women have it. Labs are not the only way to DX PCOS.

Artistic- I dont need to see any labs to Dx you with PCOS, you def sound like you have it. That is so weird that your doc wouldnt Dx you. I have way less symptoms and the only lab work that came back abnormal was my LH. i would go to a different doc.
