I just finished graduate school last year and we have been TTC since last March. After going off birth control I've started getting more hair on my face and my arm hair has darkened. I'm also getting little things that I think might be skin tabs, but they're mostly on my stomach area and they're not very big. Anyhow, I was never very regular before BC and after 3 months I stopped having my period at all (I finally got one 3 weeks after finishing Provera). I've been bouncing around health care providers because of graduating school, and my new GP says I probably have PCOS because I have an enlarged left ovary (boy was the ultrasound lady mad when my period decided to start on ultrasound day) and irregular to no periods, but she's not 100% sure because my hormonal blood work is normal. So she referred me to gynecology, which means another month's wait for an appointment, but she thinks they'll refer me to Brigham and Women's fertility clinic. Since my ovary is enlarged, BC/BS will pay for fertility treatment even though we haven't been trying a full year. Right now I'm waiting and trying not to stress-- there will probably be stress enough in the future if they put me on Clomid.

So that's my story. I love to cook and talk about food. I figured I ought to introduce myself because I've been lurking so much in the food and diet section people might wonder who I am. This is a great board and it's nice to meet you all. I've been learning a ton about everything and I'm seriously considering that vinegar diet-- my skin could use some clearing up!
