Default help with head and chest pain please!

ok ladies i hope someone can help me out with this one.
This past week my head has been hurting, but its not a headach pain. If i bend over it hurts, sneeze or cough it hurts. Just moving my head from side to side hurts. Also my chest has been hurting. It is hard to breath so i take slow shallow breaths. It hurts where the breastbone is and on either side. And it is not my breasts, its underneath them. I don't have a doctor since i just moved here in june. i just don;'t know if i want to go to the doctor because they are probably just going to run expensive tests. Has anyone had or felt or know of what this is? Any advice or comments is greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful day ladies and thankyou ahead of time!

Sounds like a sinus infection. Mine always started with a mild irritating headache that would not go away completly. Then in a day or too, I would get a scratchy throat. The it went into a sore throat. My face would hurt. My neck would stiffen up and I could hardly move.
On the occasions it got worse, it would cause ear pain. Then sometimes even my jaw would hurt like a tooth ache.

Do you have any decongestant on hand? I would try that first before seeing a doctor.

    Sorry your so miserable.

I have something similar. I get "sparkly" pain in the lower part of my lungs, my head feels full and hurts to move, my throat is dry and a little closed off. It is a sinus infection brought on by seasonal allergies. For me it will go away when the weather decides what it is going to do. I used to go to the doctor for it and he would give me an antibiotic, but it didn't help and would only give me a yeast infection. I find the over-the-counter allergy medications like Allegra or Claritin work pretty well if I take them when the weather starts changing. I forgot this year so I just have to ride it out. At least it isn't as bad as it used to be when I smoked.

Its sounds like a sinus infection...although the chest pain throws me off. If you are able, try some over the counter sinus medicine (ADVIL Cold and sinus or ALIEVE cold and sinus) to help you with the headaches while youre waiting to see the doc. If you have high blood pressure, you really shouldn't take them, as they may increase your pressure.

    Hope you feel better soon!!

    Hey there,

I have been having the same thing. For me, the head pain is sinus related -- it has been a rough couple of weeks. I also have had random times with the breathing -- at times it feels as though I can not get a full breath -- but I am still getting enough oxygen. With allergies -- everything is related face, ears, sinus, throat, lungs.

Try claritin and a hot steamy shower (helps with my sinus probs) and keep us updated!!

October is a rough time for allergies for many people!!

    Feel better soon!!

    hello ladies,
well i went to the doctor today and i loved her she new about pcos and everything. She was so gently when she did the pelvic and pap. It was my first time! and not a bad experience at all.
she is going to order for me to put on a 24 hour heart monitor for one day and see if they can monitor my blood pressure and heart. So we will take things from there. But she didn't say i had a sinus infection so i guess we will just have to go from the heart thing. Thankyou sooo much ladies i am glad that the inital meeting someone new is over and that i love my doctor.

I used to get the chaest pain all the time. I seriously thought I was having a heart attack or something. Turned out it was anxiety. I had like every heart test known to man and nothing showed anything wrong. I was put on Doxepin and all of my chest pain just went away magically. My doctor said the anxiety also goes hand in hand with pcos.

    well ladies,
the doc called two days after the labs were done. SHe wants me to come back in for an appointment to talk it all over with her. She said she found protien in my urine, so i don't know what that means and she wants to talk about my cholesterol. We couldn't go to the heart monitor thing because i started throwing up so we rescheduled for monday but now since i have an appt with her on thurs, we are considering waiting until after talking with her again and see if the tests is really warrented. Becasue we are low on money and i don't want to waste my money on a test. So i am a little nervous about the protein in the urine but i guess i will have to wait. The thing i am incredibley happy about is my husband. He goes with me to the appt. or does anything i need for me and he is just so supportive. I am so lucky to have a husband who loves me as much as he does. I just hope everything is ok.
