    Default Newbie from Belgium

    Hello,

My name is Véronique and I live in Belgium (Europe).
I know I have PCO since 1999, because I had problems getting pregnant.
Finally our son was born in 2002 after hormon therapy and IUI.
Now we probably will start the hormon therapy again in January
    and we hope
we will welcome a new baby in our home very soon.

I joined you on this board because I hope to find answers to all
my questions concerning PCO and its consequences and perhaps,
in time, become a regular visitor here.

I hope you will forgive me if I write too many wrong words,
I only know English from school and television.

    Bye for now!
    Véronique.

Welcome! My father is from Belgium-- he immigrated to the US when he was 13 years old, right after WWII.

Your English is fantastic, but I've never met a Belgian who didn't have great English (and French, and German, and Flemish/Dutch).

Hello Nicole! It's a small world, that is something I already learned from the internet. Where does your father come from?

I live in Kapellen (see my nickname?), that is North of Antwerp, not far from the border with the Netherlands. Population is 26.000 people.

I've been to Kapellen and Antwerp before I think it was in 1999. I've also been to Brussels and Bruge a few times, I really like it in Belgium x

You have??? On what occasion then? It keeps amazing me how people's life's seem to cross each other every day without the one knowing from the other (if you understand what I mean). Do you come to Belgium regularly?

    My father is from Antwerp.

My Bomama was a Citroen. I'm named after my father (Nik) and my little sister is named Marieke, which is the Flemish diminuative of my mother's Mary. I've been thinking about giving our children Flemish/Dutch names (if and when I have children).

Some people I knew were in a band and they were doing some shows in Belgium, we went for support and a mini holiday. The show was filmed in Antwerp, I think! So we stayed in that area for 2 days. It was quite a long time ago so I can't remember the details very well

I haven't been to Belgium for a few years I have some friends in The Netherlands and some friends in Germany so we used to meet up in Belgium for weekends and stuff Also I went there with school when I was young.

Nicole, have you ever visited Belgium then? Or do you only know it from your family stories of pictures? Marieke is a beautiful Flemish name, I just wonder how it sounds in English. If you need help finding names in the future, let me know!

Shellie_Star: hope you can come again very soon. Just like I would love to visit London again, but still haven't found the right time for it, so I know how you feel...

Nope, I've only been to Spain outside of North America. Marieke sounds just like Jacques Brel sings it, though we Americans do say the "ke" part longer and more like "kuh." If and when we succeed at ttc, I will let you know to get out your baby names.

    Thank you Pamela!

Untill now I only have serious problems reading all the posts that are written here everyday. First: there are far too many to read them all! Second: I waste a lot of time reading the onces I really want to read because I read them very slowly to try to understand them fully. Especially the abreviations are very confusing for me.

    Default Welcome:)

    Hello and welcome!

I used to live in Brussels for a few summers (3). I went up to Antwerp a few times, brugge, and to the Netherlands.
I absolutely loved life there. The cultures, people, food, everything was great!

    Welcome and best of luck...
