    Default Bad day :(

My cousin just found out she is pregnant and she is so excited about it, she came round today bouncing about the house with the new baby clothes and toys and I just feel horrible.

I am pleased for her, don't get me wrong, I am very happy that she will be a mum, but she wasn't even trying. She and her husband had decided to wait, they didn't want one right now.

I am trying to be happy, and I am really trying not to be jealous but it is so difficult for me. I know I shouldnt be jealous, but I can't help it. I need some cheering up

    Things will get better...
I have gone through the same thing, I think a lot of us go through it...

It's tough when everyone and everything around you seems to be pregnant...
I know we hate to hear it, but be patient, your time will come...

Its hard and theres no solution unfortunately. If you need space then take it. Don't feel obligated to buy presents or 'celebrate' if you are not feeling up to it. Just do what you can when you can, and don't feel guilty about it.

I think I do know a bit how you feel. Currently we are having a 'baby boom' in the office. One girl said to me "be careful at the water cooler you might catch the baby germ", and I said I wish. Also my girlfriends have just had babies or having them. To make matters worse on the weekend my friends 3 year old patted my stomach and asked 'baby in tummy?'. (she's so used to everyone having a baby in their tummy). I had to say "no thats just fat". And then manage to laugh along with everyone else, when really your heart just breaks.
So take your time & know that you are not alone.

    Cholet,
I pretty well can relate. We have been TTC#1 since 8/04 and there are days I think everyone except me is pregnant. We had started a bible study with 2 other couples with probs with infertility and last weekend I found out I am the only one left not pregnant. Through this, the only advice I can give you is hang in there. Know there are plenty of us out here going through it along side of you. And give yourself space. I have had times I have had to leave events after someone announced their pregnancy because I didn't want to start crying right in front of them. Take care of yourself and know that being jealous doesn't make you bad, just human. I think it is only natural. I am not normally a jealous person, but infertility can bring out things in you that you didn't know existed.

*hugs* you're not alone, even though it feels like you are sometimes. i don't have much to add to what has already been said. just take your space if you need it... and don't feel like a bad person for feeling the way that you do. pcos and infertility is a very complex issue- the emotional aspect is just as confusing and complex. you're going to feel a range of feelings, and that's ok! work through them at your own pace.
