    Talking Seasonall???

    Hey,

I was wondering if any of you have tried Seasonall (SP??)? The BCP where you take three months of active pills consecutively, to only get a period once every three months. I've been on Yasmin for awhile and everything is working fine...but I just think it would be more convenient to have fewer periods.

The only thing that concerns me, is that I heard Yasmin is sorta better for women with blood pressure issues (which I have, as well as heart & lung issues brought on by my hypertension....so BP is really critical to me). I have a gyn appointment on valentines day (how sweet!) and I do plan on asking what he thinks....but I know there are some extremely smart people on here, with lotsa information. Just thought I'd ask and thanks for any advice!!!

Hi! If Yasmin is working for you I suggest you stick with it... Fewer periods are more convienant yes but well Seasonal is not workin for me so well right now. I have been bleeding for the last 3 1/2 weeks and If I hadn't stopped the pack I would still be bleeding for the next 3 weeks then a period.... So fewer periods I laugh at that esp since thats how they advertise this pill.

I have stopped the pack going to get a period then try it again... If it doesn't work on trial round 2 then I'm done with this pill...

I've actually had more cramping then I normally do with other pills -- But I would seriously stick with what works

I was on Seasonale for a little over a year. I had no issues or problems with it. That is until two months ago. I started bleeding and bled for a month. I called the doc in the middle of it and she told me to stop the pills and let myself "bleed out" before we make a decision on what to do next. I stopped the pills and I started bleeding heavily like a regular period. This stopped after about a week and I went to the doc and got a pap smear to make sure all was well inside. Came back normal and now today i just started Ortho. We will see what happens with that. I like Seasonale until that happened. I had no side effects whatsoever and the doctor still says that it was odd that that happened to me. Hope this helps.
