Default I talked to my Dr.

I had my 6-week appt yesterday. He told me that everything looks okay with me physically. I'm still leaking, and my first AF was really heavy. He did give me the name of two pulmonologists b/c I'm still breathing really heavy. It started when I was like 2 months, and hasn't stopped. So I get to go see one. It's never anything normal with me. I've always got something weird going on.

I also asked him questions about Eric, and all the crap that was wrong with him. I asked him what kind of infection could have caused the banding, b/c I'd read somewhere that one could have. He said that they don't know what causes the sac to break, it's only a guess that it could be infection. I also asked why my labor was only 2 1/2 hours, and he said they didn't know why I went into labor when I did. He also said that when you're early, labor can be faster. He said it might not be an indication of my labors with normal pregnancies. That's good, b/c if I deliver our other kids in 2 1/2 hours, DH is gonna have to learn how to catch!!

So anyways, he said that I'll be monitored more with the other kids we have, obviously. I asked what kinds of tests, and he said the blood test I refused, I think it was the quad-test or whatever. I asked about an amnio, b/c I really don't want that, and he said no. Doesn't an amnio cause a small chance of a miscarriage? I don't really remember what else he said. I'm having trouble processing things. My brain is really foggy.

So, I'm just waiting, twiddling my thumbs til the geneticist calls, waiting for him to tell me it was the banding, and not genetic. Fun fun fun!

    Hi,
I hope you get some answers soon.

And yes, I believe that an amnio has like a 1% chance of a m/c associated with it...that's why most doctors try to avoid the procedure whenever possible...I don't know too much about the procedure but remember my OB mentioning that statistic to me.

P.S. I am sorry about leaving my signature on...for some reason I'm not able to turn it off.
