    Default Help! My Lab Results!

Had a bunch of labs drawn by my GP and was told everything was normal looking and not to worry. Went to the Re who also reviewed the labs and said they are all ok and they were going to do a few more and when I work up to the full dose to the Met to take Provera then I will come in for an US and start Clomid. My 24 hr Cortisol test results should back on Monday. The other lab results that were done by my endo are back and I spoke with the nurse and the endo Dr said to do as planned and the nurse said if there were any major problems he would have let me know before doing as we planned so I guess that is good news. Anyhow here is the lab copy that my GP ran. I know she did more tests but for some reason these are the only ones she sent me a copy of. I unfort. dont know what my orig labs were 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with PCOS.

TSH .87 says normal for Thyroid

Hemoglobin AIC (3 month Diabetes control check) 5.6 (says good)

    FSH 6.7

LH 7.2 (these both say ok next to them, I know in PCOS its usual for LH to be above FSH but mine is only a small amount above and now I am worried it may not be PCOS based on this since more people seem to have higher levels. Any ideas? The endo saw all these so I am assuming if they didnt think it was PCOS they would have told me at my appt after looking at them instead of saying they are all ok and up my Met dose?

I am glad I am not alone! For me a little stress relief is origins sensory therapy. I have the bath stuff the massage oil the lotion. When I am really upset or stressed I put a lot of the lotion stuff on and then a warm washcloth and inhale. Helps me take deep breaths and sometimes will calm me down for a little while at least

Hemoglobin AIC (3 month Diabetes control check) 5.6 (says good)

While this is an OK range, it's hardly optimal. It is similar to my score (with met, low carbing and excercise). I believe my doctor said down close to 4 is good and up around 7 is bad. My doc is not too worried about it, but I would LOVE to be given enough meds to bring it down lower. I want a little more agressive treatment. I don't know if that helps at all.

    good luck finding answers.

Perhaps the Met is getting your hormones back in gear? That's the first thing that I thought when I saw your FH-LH ratio. It's a GOOD thing! I wouldn't worry about being misdiagnosed...I'd just be glad that something's working!

On a side note the GP finally called me back with my 24 cortisol level urine test and its 11 which is normal. Thank GOD I was so worried about that. She said she saw the RE's lab results but they will go over the rest with me but my testosterone is high isnt everyones with PCOS?

Kimberly, testosterone is usually high, even on Met (darnit). I'd just figure that the Met straightened out the other stuff!
