I to have taken provera which you take for 10 days and then usually 2 or 3 days later I will get my period. I have no advise for what you are taking, is it a generic form of something?

Thanks for the advice. Will try provera. I think the meds the doc gave me is to increase my progeston. duphaston is a brand name. dont know it's generic name though.

    Default Gluchophage and Birth Control???

I was told not to use birth control(besides barrier protection) while taking glucophage... may be worth looking into if you are, or are planning on using both.

I take Provera too(to regulate periods) I took them for 10 days and after a couple of days the period came, maybe you could ask your doctor about that

Please ask your doc for Prometrium instead of Povera. It is much better for you. It is micronized progesterone and will bring on a cycle just like Provera, but without the nasty effects on your body.

what is that? I didn't really have any side effects from Provera, my side effects are from Metformin, but everybodys body is different. I might ask my doctor about that next time I go see her because if AF don't come on her own in March I'll be back on Provera for 10 days

Prometrium is the natural form of Provera made from yams, whereas Provera is like BCP's where the hormones are manufactured in a lab. It's a lot better for your body to have the natural form. It mimics the last two weeks of your cycle. I took it for 10 days and about 6 days later I got AF after not having AF for about 3 months.
