Default What is your insulin levels?

Just wondering? Mine was 14...it went from 16 down to 14 after losing weight. Still working on getting it lowered.

i'm almost too scared to say ...

last year in april (when i started to treat my ir aggressively) it was ... 33 ...

my endo said it was one of the highest counts she's ever seen in someone my age (i'm 27 and need to loose about 20kg's but it's not like i'm HUGE), then after treating it for 6 months i got it down to 22!!

But i've been neglecting my health for +- 8 months now, so i'm sure it's back to the 30's again

i know it needs to be under between 4 and 9 so i've got a loooooooooooooong way to go.

I'm getting married on Dec 2 '06 (which is lovely and warm in south africa) and i promised myself that i would NOT get married while my insulin levels were so severely elevated..... {{HUGE sigh}} so i gues i've got my work cut out for me.

At my last check it was 47.8 that was august 2004. Diagnosed with diabetes the next month. YUCKY! I can't get it down...even with the pregnancy.

I got mine to go down from 16 to 14 after low carbing...I'm not on Metformin because I'm allergic to it...the only thing I have it losing weight...I hope this helps me out.

Nope when I had my hormone work up with my tsh, testosterone, fsh, etc it said at the bottom of the page INSULIN: 216
weird thing was my blood sugars were running normal up til bout 2 months ago , because ive been on steroids off and on for asthma and allergies..
