Default New-In want of a listening ear

Hi, I'm Sam and I'm 28 and live in England. I'm so glad I have found this site.

I found out I had PCOS a few years ago. I've only had a few symptoms thus far - irregular periods, acne in my teens and depression. I'm not sure if symptoms will increase as I'm getting older. At the start of this year, I've noticed I've gone from being irregular by a few days late every month to now missing a period for months.

After only two periods this year by some miracle I fell pregnant. No fertility treatment and we weren't even trying (there is hope for all of you TTC out there!!) It was a tremendous surprise and completely unexpected for my fiance and I. We hadn't planned for a baby for atleast another 2years and always assumed I would need help trying to conceive! So although we were knocked off our feet by the news we were so very happy. I never experienced such joy and completness as I did when I found out. Life fell into place for both my fiance and I.

Shortly after finding out though, I misscarried a few days ago at 10 weeks. We are heartbroken and the pain is unbearable, I can only hope it gets better. I feel scared that due to PCOS I may M/C again. But I am also scared of delaying pregnancy until much later. It made me realise that it may be a long journey if we are to face another M/C or difficulty conceiving. It might not be the case but the risk of putting it off for to long and then realising its too late is too much. I'm 28 and I guess I feel my clock is ticking.

Is it advisable for women my age with PCOS to not put of pregnancy for to long due to the circumstances involved and possible consequences?

I'm sorry this is so long and weary. I don't have anyone to talk to and would just like to hear your opinions and advice.

Thank you for allowing me to vent , it's brought me a little closer to healing.Anyone wanting to email me, can at dreamsands@hotmail.com. I would love to hear from you or to listen to you if you need an ear.

Love and BabyDust to all xxx

A very WARM welcome to you. I am sorry to hear about your little angel. I also have not experienced a m/c or even pregnancy but i can tell you that, that child will hold a special place in your heart that can be filled by no one or nothing else in life. The only way to move past that is to accept that god had called a child home and that baby will be there waiting one day when you get your wings as well. Keep trying. Just think...atleast you have the conception part down...sheesh some of us cant even get that right. LOL. Really I do welcome you! God Bless!

    Hi there!
I was very touched by your post, it bought a tear to my eye as i remembered the pain i felt that you are feeling now. i know its horrible, i have had 3 m/c and they do not get easier. The only thing that got me through it was thinking , ok.. someone doesnt want me to have this baby just yet, maybe its just not a good time for me right now.. maybe this someone has plans for me to have a baby a little later in life when i'm more stable, older, wiser, whatever the reason may be.. or maybe the baby wasnt going to develop properly, so rather having to abort, or give birth to a still born, this is 'someones' ( God, Gods, Goddess', Angels.. whatever u believe in) way of telling me its just not my time. Dont give up hope though! that fact that you fell pregnant in the first place is a great sign! The next thing was a great support team! my family and friends were great! and i hope you have that with your partner and family as well. and always remember that you ARE NOT alone.. everyone here at SC is here for you and we're only a computer screen away..hehe. I wish you all the happiness in the world and i DO believe in angels.. i'll send one to watch over you and your partner in your time of need. Take care, and welcome to the most friendliest place on the web!
    Much love, Bree

I have been in the same place you are in. It is very painful, both physically and mentally. I got pregnant and we weren't even trying but i misscarried a few weeks later. I just want to let you know that no matter how bad you feel it will get better. If you are not ready to TTC right now if its not in your plans, then don't worry about it right now. Stressing over ttc only makes it harder in some cases, my aunt had pcos and she and my uncle tried for years to concieve then her Dr. told her he wanted them to stop trying because he something had come up in her tests (really he just wanted them to relax) and when she went back in three months she found out she was pregnant.

Also weight management (if weight is an issue) is one way to help make it easier to concieve. Or the medications that so many others are on. Hope this helps some.
