Hello everyone! I'm so happy to have found a bored with others that I can relate to. I am 23 and have been recently diagnosed with PCOS. The cysts apparently weren't extremely clear and my testosterone & estrogen was just a little above the normal ranges. But I'm scared out of my mind..... I have a lot of female relatives that have thinning hair, nearly completely bald on the top. I have a lot of relatives that have taken nearly 5-10 years to conceive.
I am married with a 3 year old daughter and have no idea how it happened so easily. But I've had inconsistent periods since puberty. And just recently I've grown long hairs under my chin and on the side of my face some are just light but some are dark. I think what scares me the most is that the more progressed symptoms of PCOS is inevitable. I am currently on Aldactone prescribed by my PCP. But I'm going to call and have her refer me to an endocrinologist. I'm just so worried that my symptoms will progress to hair loss and that when I'm done with school that I will have trouble TTC.
Also, for Aldactone users I've seen that it may take a few months for it to work? I've been on it for about a month without any noticable results.
Thank you,
Kristina
