Thread: uterine lining irregularities?

    Default uterine lining irregularities?

    Hello all,
I've just been diagnosed with PCOS. In addition to cysts, cycle irregularities, etc, the Dr. says I have irregularities in my uterine lining. I'm going in a few weeks to have an endometrial biopsy done.
Do many of you have this symptom? I'd like to hear of experiences with this.
    Thanks

    Welcome to Soul Cysters

I just had a pap done in Oct and it came back that I have inflammation of the utering lining. I don't know what caused it. I have to go back in December for another pap test to see if it is still inflammed and if it is what we are going to do about it.

Good luck to you keep us posted

    Hello and welcome

When i was first diagnosed after not having a period for years i was also told the lining of my uterus was very thick. She gave me a short to induce a period and then I started on met. After a few months with a regular period they checked again and it was fine. Hope that helps!

Well, that was a bit of an unpleasant procedure. I'm glad it's done. Hopefully the results will be in by the end of the week.

    Default Hi

Yes, i have this problem. I had a transvaginal ultra sound and it was discovered that the lining in my uterus was extremely too thick, thus when i had a cycle I would have one for weeks, with heavy clotting, then spotting. When I was finally able to stop bleeding, that's when I had the ultra sound and PCOS was suspected, but it was not until I was biopsied was it confirmed. It's funny, all this time I thought something was wrong with me and never knew. I have been like this since maybe 16 years of age if not earlier- fortunately i had a OB/GYN who actually cares!

    Keep me posted!

I got my results from the endometrial biopsy today. like princezzjenboo77, I have an endometrial polyp, which is thankfully benign. The next thing will be a D&C to remove it.
Don't know when that will be scheduled yet.

The Dr. has started me on Yaz, as of today, and also prescribed Metformin, 500mg/day. Should I be worried about a surplus of side effects, starting both at the same time?

From reading the replies of alisha511, princezzjenboo77, and others, it certinaly looks like there are many variations in every single symptom of this mess
Thanks once again for the replies.
