Ditto!! Right now I'm in the FAR EAST VALLEY

My best friend goes to an OB/GYN in Gold Canyon and he seems pretty good. I may ask her for his name so I can have my primary dr. change my referral to him so I can talk about it to someone that seems proactive in care instead of symptom suppression.

    Hi paige,
Not sure if you're looking for an RE or just a regular doctor. I know of a really good RE in Chandler...I think it's Dr. Craig?? I'll look it up and confirm. But, since miscarrying in Sept I have been going to Dr. Villa in Chandler. His practice specializes in high risk pregnancies so I would figure he would have a good knowledge of PCOS as well. I haven't specifically seen him for it yet, but like them so far. Anyway, he is in the Chandler Regional Hospital area.

    Good luck!
    Joy.

I'm new to Phoenix, too, and need a good OB/GYN and a good endocrinologist. Doesn't need to be reproductive, since I'm not trying to reproduce. I had a great one in NC, who specialized in PCOS, and I'm hoping to find one just as great out here. Thanks!

I live in Chandler and I go to a FABULOUS RE in Phoenix, Dr. Sujatha Gunnala. She was selected (again) as one of Phoenix's Top Doc's for 2006 in Phoenix magazine. She is very thorough and I would reccommend her to everyone!
A friend of my sister became pregnant after seeing her. My best friend also has a beautiful 9 month old daughter after seeing her. I had undiagnosed endometrial hyperplasia and thanks to her intervention and her care I don't have to worry about uterine cancer.

I'm in AZ, I know of a GREAT OB doctor, his nurse and office assistant are GREAT as well. He is familiar with PCOS and listens to you, sits down and explains things to you and asks you questions and he was an answer to prayer to find a good doc. The only thing is he's in Casa Grande which is about 35 miles southeast of Chandler on the I-10, if you want his number anyhow to try let me know and i'll send it to you! or post it here.

    Hey ladies -

I've been in AZ 3 years. I honestly can't remember how I found my doc, but she's really friendly, nice, caring, easy to get to, and at least for me - is in the know of PCOS (she said they were big into making providers aware of it in her schooling - a plus in my book since my previous Dr experiences were older and they seemed to be on the track of BCPs being the answer to everything). So, I recommend Dr. Courtney Hunt - shes in South Scottsdale near Osborn and Scottsdale Rd.

Hey sailorzeo - who can you recommend in NC? (I'm moving AZ to NC)
Mags age 27 - headaches! Metformin. Acupuncture. Herbs. Factor V Leiden. MTHFR. Overweight. Simply no AF. haven't done anything to not TTC #1 since 01/06, considering to tackle more seriously 01/10.

Dr. Ann Brown with Duke Medical. She's a specialist, and they're creating a database of women in the area with PCOS so when they have medical studies, they know who to contact.

SO rec. her and her nurse practitioner, Kathy Pereira.
