Just wanted to say thanks. You've made maneuvering through this blog a little easier for newbies who are "clueless". Job well done. Thanks again.

    Default new here

My name is Jenny and I am a 35 year old mom of one desperately trying for baby number two. My husband John and I have been together for eight years going on nine. Or first pregnancy came right up on us. It seems as though she was conceived as we were deciding to have a baby. So fast, we werent sure that it was the right time. Both feeling so overwhelmed at the whole new experience. But what a lovely one it was. We have been trying now for about a year and I am getting quite frustrated. John is not though, he seems to think that spending this alone time is enough and with another it will take time from our daughter whom is two years old. I am on the fence. Yes, she is young and the thought of the two being close in age is going to make a wonder of difference as they grow up. That is what I happen to think anyway. All this frustration of not becoming pregnant, 'right now', makes the other part of me think that I am nuts now that she is starting to become more independent, I about have fallen on my head to want another little one and start all over again. But I do not want to wait. I don't want too much time to come in between their ages and I kind of feel that it has to happen right now or never. It is not going as fast or easy as it did the first time. What more could we possibly try?

    Sweetpeas,

I'm right there with you. DS will be two next month, and I'm wondering if he'll ever have a brother or sister? Being married 10 years also has its challenges, as my DH is very closed about pretty much everything, and having been married so long says, 'it will happen' and 'why are you such a @$%^^?'

Wish I had the magic formula, right now all I've got is hugs and wishes!

Default Need advice help with Metformin

My dr. told me to just take as much met as I can. Start with one pill and if I can't take what I can. If I have side effects stop for a week and see if they come back. So I stopped taking back because of the way I felt and I didn't have a diagnosis of Pcos yet. I knew I had it but no one could tell me this for sure. So when I take the met even just like 250 mg every other day is what I can tolerate. Yes I get the upset stomach and all. I can't tolerate it because I am so drowsy. I feel so tired all day like i'm in a haze. My joints hurt incredibly. I know I sound crazy. I have played around with it enough that I know it's the met. I asked my dr. about it and they just say they have never heard of that.. same with pharmacist.( they look at me like i'm crazy) They just say well then don't take it.. but this is your only solution to your IR right now. Okay.. so like they tell me to take a whole pill at night to help with SE ( 500mg) I take it and I slept for 19 hours!!!!! No one could wake me. What's up with that. I took it at dinner last night now it's morning and I am so puffy. They just say drink a ton of water! Well I hurt so bad joint wise I can't walk right now. I have had major bladder issues or pain all around the time of DTD, never had it before taking met. any one have suggestions. just curious if others have had similar SE? I feel lost.
