    Default hemorrhoids? Maybe TMI...

Not sure if I got hemorrhoids or not. Seems like all my life I've had what feels like a split or a cut in my anus. I feel it whenever I'm in the shower and such. My dad had bad hemorrhoids and had to get surgery a few times for them, but I always thought they were inflammed vessels, not cuts.

It used to not bother me much and I used to use a cream on it. But with the metformin and the active diarreha I got (this whole week it's been several times a day, burning hot) it is really bothering me and burning me.

Does anyone else have this or any idea if it is hemorrhoids or something else?

BTW I have never had anal sex or done anything to my tushie sex wise.

Hemorrhoids are inflamed vessels. Can you see the cuts, or just feel them? Sometimes I get them and I honestly think that I have a cut down there, because that's what it feel like. When when I got and investigate, I find hemorrhoids. You can also have them internally, so you can feel them but perhaps not see them.

I can't see them because it's just inside. They do feel like cuts and it seems to have gotten bigger, maybe more inflammed with all the diarreha I got.

I had SEVERE hemorrhoids that were very debilitating post-partum. None of the OTC creams worked for me as well as Gold Bond Medicated Cream did. However, PLEASE go to the doctor (OB-GYN is a good place to start, s/he can refer you to a proctologist if needed) & get a proper diagnosis before attempting to medicate yourself.

    Hope you feel better SOON!

Are you having bleeding? You can get tears which can lead to a need for surgery. You should def. see your doc!

Sometimes they bleed I think. Ugh another thing to mention to the doc. She's gonna think I'm nuts. I'm going on the 13th, gonna mention my vertigo and passing out in the bathroom, depression, sinus infection and now this.

Sometimes our bodies are giving us notice that something worse may happen if we dont' take notice. I've seen this happen with family members. One thing after another happens, and sometimes there is a root cause.

At one point, I found that i had severe anal itching and tried several remidies, then went to the doctor and he said i was simply wiping my tush too hard with john wayne toilet paper (ruff, tuff, & don't take s*!t from anyone) in the public restrooms ( I work outside, and don't always have access to a regular toilet). I started carrying my own tp, charmin, and it went away. good luck! btw... mine were cuts too!

I got some preperation H and it seems to have helped and made them smaller. I can't use Charmin, I get itchy. I buy Quilted Northern and it doesn't leave any lint behind that makes me itchy.

Glad you're feeling better. Simple trial & error can usually get you some good results. However, you still need to address this with your Dr.

I did today when I saw my general doctor. She said to use the cream and see if it goes away completely, if not I see her in 3 months.

Oh, good! It's so much more comforting when you & your doctor are on the same page.

I got massive bad hemorroids after my 2nd child. Prep H didn't do a thing. What did work was witchhazel. You get it at any drug store then go home dab it on to tp (or those little makeup swabs work great) and then lightly dab bottom. Works like a whip and pain itching and problems go away easily withih a week.
