Newly Diagnosed!
Hello,
I've been reading through these boards. I am wondering, anybody not have hairloss or have to completely shave their face? I do have facial hair, but not to the point where I feel I need to shave. I'm 24, started having symptoms at age 17. I read through these boards and feel so nervous about what my future holds... I don't want to lose my hair !!!

Hello, Nicky. The "S" in PCOS stands for "syndrome" which means that it is a collection of symptoms. Not all women have all of the symptoms--in fact, most don't have all of them. There are many of us who don't have hair loss or excessive hair growth. Many also aren't obese, others aren't anovulatory--some don't even have polycystic ovaries! Each one of us is different and the condition affects all of us in different ways.
Good luck--you'll find lots of information and support here!
