Question Herbs to increase cervical mucus?

I have tried EPO and it did nothing for my cervical mucus...always dry as a bone. I am using Clomid so that is the main reason, but I never had good cm to begin with! Is there anything else out there that I can try???

    Default Not an herb, but...

Lainie, have you tried Robitussin? The cough syrup containing ONLY the active ingredient "guaifenisin" (no letters after the -tussin on the box) is supposed to thin CM. You don't have to buy name brand Robitussin, either. A generic brand like your local drug/grocery store's brand or Walgreens brand is just as good, as long as the only active ingredient is "guaifenisin."

Different cysters take different amounts. I myself take 2-3 tsp. doses several times a day during my fertile days (say up to 4x/day). This and drinking LOTS of water (I drink at least a gallon a day) seems to help, though I have never been on Clomid.

Hope this helps, even though it's not an herbal solution.

Drinking lots of water is supposed to help, and also grapefruit juice (so I've heard). I can't stand gfj myself, but drinking lots of water is a generally good idea for ttc and good health.

For what it is worth, I tried the Robitussin with no luck. Still dry as a bone! It may be time to consider IUI!

Here are things what helped me ( before I was try as a Sahara desert):
    1. Drink a lot of water
    2. EPO
    3. Red Rasberry Leaf tee before ov

Also have you tried natural lubricants like real egg-whites and olive oil? I haven`t but there has been many threads about those two things in the TTC board.
