thanks for the suggestion kat. i got on the carson website and they had a product locator feature. i found out that there isn't any store in my city that carries this product! i find that so hard to believe. as a last ditch effort, i'm gonna check sally's, but i may end up having to drive over 70 miles to the nearest city that carries this product.

Where on earth do you live? I thought everyone carried magic powder?? Maybe your local drug store can just order it for you. That's better than you having to drive 70 miles!
Hey, SoulCysters! Need to eat more veggies, but can't find recipes??

I tried the silver can once but I was finishing treating a yeast infection and so I got really irritated and burned....I'm sure this next time around it won't do that.

there is one specialty shop in my town that has black hair care products. i'm gonna give it a try tomorrow. if that doesn't work out then i'll go online and order it from somewhere.

if i'm lucky enough to come across it, i'll be sure to come back and give a review.

This is a funny thread to come across. DH uses magic powder and heaven knows I hate the smell. I've wondered what it would be like for me...I usually use Nair or something on the swimsuit line...I may have to try the powder.

    I can hear DH now.....

Apparently the stuff isn't available in Canada. I've searched everywhere. I ended up ordering a few bottles online from the states and paying extra for shipping (shipping cost almost as much as the product itself)! I tried it tonight. So far its worked well. I'm hoping I don't end up with ugly red bumps tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

I did a patch test first. It was so soft and worked so well that 5 minutes later I decided i was just an impatient, impetuous person and did the whole thing! No bumps yet.... in fact it's remarkably.... unremarkable. No burning no nothing. There are a few spots that it didn't exactly remove ALL the hair. But that could very well be my fault. I misread the label. I thought it said leave it on no longer than 5 minutes. It said leave it 5-7 minutes. Duh.

Oh and I got the silver can. And what is possibly the most amazing thing about it... not the best, but the thing that amazes me.... it doesn't stink! I mean it's not yummy smelling or anything. But my sense of smell is pretty sensitive. And strong scents makes me sick. This is pretty harmless in that department. I hope it works as well for you MommaKing! Tell us all about it!!

I've notice it's usually on the very bottom or very top shelf. It's pretty easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for.

Worst case scenario, if no local stores have it, Amazon does. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Shaving-Powder-Platinum-Pack/dp/B000RJEDLG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1207429530&sr=8-3[/ame]

So what is so special about this stuff? Does it keep hair away longer than regular shaving does? I tried Nair before because it promised to dissolve the hair root but all it did was leave me with stubble and very irritated skin. Is the powder supposed to dissolve the root?
